Publisher's summary

‘How long have I got, Doc? Five days? Five weeks? Five months? Five years?’

‘Months,’ the oncologist replied.

When he heard this devastating news, Steve Legg and his wife Bekah made a bold decision – they would get busy living and get busy laughing.

Yes, there were tears that day and in those that followed, but Steve is a funnyman and a man of faith. He was never going to give cancer the last laugh.

In his latest book, international baffler and funny guy, Steve Legg, faces the no-joke reality of the diagnosis of a terminal illness. An engaging listen throughout, the book will lead you to the most wonderful of all conclusions: that we are never, ever alone, and never, ever forsaken.

But this is not just Steve’s story; he draws lessons that can change not only the way we view our death – but also our life.

Hope. Heart. Humour. Humanity. This gripping story has everything.

I would give this 10 stars instead of 5 if I could

OMG, I loved this book! I was meant to read this book right now. I laughed out loud so many times, for a topic that is so heavy Steve has an incredible way of adding humour to an intense subject. HIs faith is inspirational and the power of prayer is so profound and apparent.

I will pray for Steve and his family as I feel so connected and truly feel like I know this incredible man. I think this is worth a read for anyone and I mean anyone and everyone. I have struggled with incredible trauma over the last three years, not cancer, but something equally traumatizing. He is an inspiration for keeping a positive and humourous mindset. The power of prayer and the power of humour are apparent in his story and I will remember this book for the rest of my life. Thank you Steve, I'm better for having read your story. You are Superman and I am inspired!

FAITH is stronger

I don't know what to say... this book made me speechless. To Steve and his family, I know how it feels knowing one member suffering cancer, I was in that situation when my late grandmother had it too and it was terrible. Death is something inevitable. I love how your faith is so strong in facing this. Prayers to you and your family Steve.

Powerful!

This book deeply resonated with me. I found myself relating to Steve and his wife, as I have experienced sitting in an oncology department and hearing a doctor talk about my 15-year-old daughter. The doctor expressed regret that if she had been diagnosed earlier, she would have had a better chance. I understand the importance of the decisions made in those moments, as they set the stage for what comes next. While choosing laughter may seem impossible, it is crucial because everything else is a waste of time. This book is extremely valuable and could potentially be a lifesaver. I recommend listening to it now, as you never know when you may find yourself in need of its message. Whether you are the one receiving difficult news or supporting someone else, it is a worthwhile listen
