About this listen

From the embers of a galaxy in flames, destiny calls upon an unknown guardian.

Captain Axel Finn has spent his life running salvage missions with an alien crew and their war bot. This motley group has found refuge on his ship from their own tumultuous pasts. But little do any of them know, beneath his gentle demeanor, their steadfast captain is far from the peace following, adventure seeking giant of a man they all love. His pacifist ethos meant to safeguard them has edged them to the brink of financial ruin and drawn dangerous enemies.

Forced into a risky salvage operation, the crew uncovers an alien relic not of this galaxy.

Expecting treasure to pay their debts, they instead find an artifact of the Wrath, an extraterrestrial species that once decimated entire worlds. To decipher the true nature of their discovery, Axel seeks Rangnar Soki, a deadly bounty hunter famous for his pursuit of the Stewards—legendary warriors who stood against the Wrath in bygone days. But as the mystery of this artifact deepens, and hunters close in, an old enemy threatens to set the galaxy ablaze.

Axel must choose: accept his legacy and unleash the monster within or watch everything he loves burn.

Nick delivers again

Absolutely loved Galaxy in Flames, The Last Stewart. I think it will be a new favorite. Up there with Hell Divers & Trackers. The characters are very likable, even Rangnar and at the end Rex Jessup. Of course Axel & crew are favorites. Can’t wait to see what develops between Axel & Jax. Fantastic job creating this story Nick., you are the ultimate story teller. Mark Boyett and Khristine Hyam do awesome narrating.

WHAT A RIDE

absolutely loved this book the cast is kinda bloated at first but it doesn't take long for it to even out and you really start to grow with them that by the end you love all of them. I can't help but get the renegade star by jn Chaney vibes but with NSS visceral style of writing and I love it it's the best of both worlds. can't wait for the second one I'm definitely hooked!

Great book!

This is good SciFi/Fantasy! It takes a little bit to get into but it ends great and I’m looking forward to the next book.
The narrator combo worked out well.

Great new series by NSS

I enjoyed all the characters intertwined in this epic new space adventure. Tight plotting and surprising events led me quickly to the end and eager for book 2! I loved both narrators and how each character held unique voices and personality. Another winner by NSS!

Yet another amazing series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith.

Galaxy in Flames is a great new series by author Nicholas Sansbury Smith it is different if you are a reader and fan of his other books (Hell Divers, Sons Of War) but just like his writing is he never skips a beat. As you start reading Galaxy in Flames you immediately start rooting for Axel and Uga and their journey through the galaxy.
I can't wait for more books of this series to be released and hope it lasts a long time.

Thrilling and fun!

Great narration brings this fresh military scifi/space opera to life with a cast of fun characters and anti heroes. My favorite so far is Rangnar and his Markas. The world building is vast but doesn’t bog down the narrative. Once this story gets going, it flies! I can’t wait to know what happens next!

Incredible Story

This book is all-around awesome! You get two narrators and three storylines from three different main characters. How much fun is that?! It’s definitely a unique format that I thoroughly enjoyed. Both narrators are phenomenal. NSS brings us to new planets and introduces various species of alien. Each main character has their own battles to face, leaving you on the edge of your seat as the action heats up. I can’t recommend this book enough and am looking forward to the next installment!
