In Book Two of the series, Laughter Through Trials, Darcy and Elizabeth celebrated their courtship as Elizabeth was introduced to the Fitzwilliam family and London society. Their sojourn in town held a few difficulties, but the strength of their love allowed them to face the challenges and outwit their enemies.
Now Darcy and Elizabeth are returning to Hertfordshire for their wedding and Elizabeth worries there is still one trial to be faced - Mrs. Bennet. Her mother refuses to prepare the simple, elegant affair the couple wishes for their wedding day. Will it be the day of their dreams or a disaster?
However the wedding turns out, Darcy and Elizabeth are excited to begin their life together. The bright future before them fills their hearts with joy. Both know they will face periods of contentment and heartache, but united they will confront whatever comes their way. Will those they have previously encountered allow them to enjoy their happiness or will there be more misfortune for them to overcome?

The Laughter of Love: Her Unforgettable Laugh, Book 3
: Linda Thompson
The final book in this series brings all our familiar characters back with more scheming, conniving, and even some redemption. There was plenty of adventure and romance and suspense too. It was a fun listen.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Nancy Peterson.
"I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator."

Would you consider the audio edition of The Laughter of Love to be better than the print version?
I only listened to the audio book and I have enjoyed all three books. The eyes of all the women were continually "brimming with tears, glistening with tears and otherwise filling with tears" and it became distracting and somewhat humorous after three books.Any additional comments?
Although the crying, glistening, and tearing eyes was distracting I enjoyed the series. The book was tolerable, but they cried to much!

But.......
I don't believe that Regency Brits were this emotional (like 21st century Americans). "Stiff upper lip" and all that, not a quivering chin. Way more tears, eyes welling and downright sobbing than I've heard in the last twenty books of JAFF. But I'm American, so I can overlook it.
The villians; Wickham, Lady Catherine, Ms. Bingley, Mrs Bennet, etc. plus a new character, are all pulled from the same diagnostic manual. Malignant narcisists. Not alot of personality deviation. Same basic person, just cut and paste the name. Somewhat lazy writing.
The narration. Sigh..... The narration. Mostly good but... Be prepared for hugely overly exaggerated posh accents in the titled characters. And non-British pronunciations The ton...like the weight rather than the dawn. Valet with no t), Choppter, for chapter, It goes on and on. For goodness sake, watch Downtown Abbey. Or Bridgerton. Or better yet....Pride and Predudice.
Okay, I'm a grammar snob so the mispronounced words really bugged me. It's so basic. But so integral to the experience.
And btw, it's the "Cut Direct", not the direct cut.
Be warned. Written and narrated by Americans.
