About this listen

Please note: This audio drama is for mature audiences only. It contains strong language, violence, and sexual content. Discretion is advised.

“Once this journey takes hold, I find I’m able to think as my character thinks, act as he acts, and feel what my character is feeling...”

James Patterson leads you into the darkest recesses of the mind with this chilling, immersive audio thriller. We meet Brent Quill, a frustrated actor trying to take his game to the next level. When he learns about the intensive Method acting process, he dives in deep—and immediately lands the lead role in a TV series about a brutal serial killer.

But when the Method’s controversial techniques start to take over Brent’s psyche, the lines between real life and acting begin to blur dangerously. How far will Brent go to “become” the character?

Starring Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes), Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), and a full cast, The Method is pure James Patterson—a roller-coaster ride of lies, coverups, and dark deeds.

About the Creator

James Patterson is the world’s bestselling author and most trusted storyteller. He has created many enduring fictional characters and series, including Alex Cross, the Women’s Murder Club, Michael Bennett, Maximum Ride, Middle School, and I Funny. He’s given over three million books to schoolkids and the military, donated more than seventy million dollars to support education, and endowed over five thousand college scholarships for teachers. For his prodigious imagination and championship of literacy in America, Patterson was awarded the 2019 National Humanities Medal. Excellent storyline

This book was entertaining not just because it met the Patterson quality but the actors were amazing. Best way to listen to an audio book. I hope more audible books are performed instead of just read. Thank you!

Wonderfully done

So fun to listen to with an amazing cast. Exploring extremes is a is an integral critical thinking tool. This dive into the extremes of method acting had me locked in up through the ending credits. The story, acting, and foley art is excellently rendered. Solid five stars for anybody looking for an engaging short story.

I was immersed in the story from the very beginning. I can’t wait to listen to more of these types of audiobooks.
