Publisher's summary

Balance is a mythical beast. We always say we need to achieve it for equilibrium in our work, life, or family time, but balance doesn't really exist. In The Myth of Balance, Frank Bealer explains how a simple four-word formula can prepare you for the unexpected and not-so-unexpected events that distract you in the most inconvenient moments. Next time, be ready to slay the beast of balance with this time-tested approach.

Great resource

This was insightful and challenging. Good practical steps and relatable stories. I would highly recommend this to those who want to be a better leader.

Typical and Short

This book doesn't really shed much light on anything new or exciting. Also, I found it very strange to have the book called Balance but not actually talk much about a work-life balance.

Was hoping for more

I bought this on a recommendation from Twitter with the hopes I could glean some good tips or wisdom. What I got was a very short book with the author predominantly telling stories about his life and family. Maybe it translates better on paper but his whole premise of When this, then that didn't convey very well in audio. There was so much more he could've shared but a one-point book that is shorter than most podcasts was disappointing.

Pretty Basic Book

There is nothing wrong with the book. It is just pretty basic and all the truths are pretty basic and common knowledge. I guess if you are just starting out in ministry, it might be good for you, but the price for such a small book is a bit much. It's more of a pamphlet and shouldn't be more than $3 or $4.
