Rich does a really great job to break down the sermon on the mount into practical steps we can live by to be obedient to Jesus in our daily lives. Highly recommended

As a 50 something Christian, raised in a Christian home in American. The “narrow path” was simply the one that didn’t lead to “destruction”. Discipline was a duty, not a practice that led to something other than an eternal destination. This book explains how discipline leads to a great expanse filled with freedom now, in the same way that The Kingdom of God is alive and present this very day.

The pastoral wisdom shines through, especially in unpacking the Beatitudes with such radical honesty, showing how Jesus’ wisdom applies to our daily lives. It’s a must-read for anyone wanting to grasp the heart of Jesus’ ministry in a way that’s relatable, honest, and life-changing.

Villodas is authentic in sharing his struggle with sins as the Sermon on the Mount highlights them. by focussing on Christ he shares how to turn your heart and behavior over to God. You'll love how scripturally dense it is. You'll hate (for a moment) how naked you feel in your sins. But then you'll delight in being free from those sins. I like this book because it helps the reader focus on loving God and loving neighbor, which is all the law and the prophets.
