About this listen

Hex, Indiana is the one place Gabe has found acceptance as a nephilim. He keeps his head down and enjoys his work at the one bar in town while making sure stray feathers don’t find their way into the wrong hands. Tending his beloved plants helps him stay busy, but he longs for someone to care for.

Van knew better than to go after the king of crossroads. Their battle ripped a hole in the veil and sent Van to a strange town in the human world to bleed out when his healing magic failed. Just as he thinks it’s lights out, the most beautiful angelic creature approaches him. Demons, especially crossroads demons, aren’t supposed to get attached. But his rescuer has the softest touch and the sweetest voice. Perhaps Van can take a little break from trying to become king of the crossroads demons.

The Nephilim’s Touch is a standalone MM romance novel as part of the multi-author collaboration Tales from the Tarot. This book is based on the major arcana card, The Consort (Empress).

Sunshine gotta sunshine

Gabe is very sweet and tender abd his approach to Van and honestly everyone around him showed his sensitivity. He was exactly what Van needed. I found myself annoyed at Van for much of the book but he does try and while he may be a jerk to many people, he never is to Gabe.
Zachary Zaba does a great job with characters.

just yes

Zachary Zaba does it again just showing he can make an already exciting story even better with his great skills. So happy to see him paired with Morgan Lysand once again with her Hex, Indiana universe. Heres hoping for Wickys story to be brought to life next!

Part of the Tales from the Tarot combined universe Morgan embodies the Consort (Empress ) arcana card. She returns to Hex, Indiana (Kisses at the Crossroads) to see how everyone us fairing now that they are free from the reign of Drake and oh boy is Hex flourishing.
Van has been on the run from his guardian leadership since breaking the rules of the crossroads demons. His punishment is to return to Hex and learn patience. Gabe was sent to Hex to learn to embrace his Nephilum side. With the help of each other, these two learn to be stronger and better versions of themselves. These two chemistry are off the charts, and wow, I love how these two just work with each other. Morgan did a beautiful job, including the Magic Shop, and it's Owner in how he helps both men see their true destiny.

Always trust a plant daddy 😀

A surprisingly quick and wonderful read. I love how Morgan writes her characters. They have so much life and sunshine to them. Gabe & Van are incredibly cute together. The way Gabe immediately dotes on Van is beautiful and supportive. Van has almost no choice but to learn to better himself and follow at Gabe's influential side. Watching Gabe come into his own and find his true self is a powerful journey to follow as well.

I can't say I've ever heard of a Nephilim prior to this book, but it's an intriguing paranormal being. Gabe personifies his half angel side and brings so much light into each of his friend's lives.

I know that Lark & Pike have their own story in the Fortune Favors the Fae series, but I'm curious if there are plans for any further characters to have stories beyond this one. I enjoy every novel of Morgan Lysand's and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Audiobook Update:
Narrated by Zachary Zaba
I've said it many times before, but there's just something special about the way Zachary Zaba voices the characters in the audiobooks he narrates. Each character and voice is subtly different enough you never have to wonder whose POV it is and which characters are speaking. For The Nephilim's Touch, his talents extend further into another fantasy realm, giving Gabe & Van that extra little bit of magic to their characters and characteristics. Morgan Lysand writes their characters in such a way that you never question their written mannerisms, so why would Zachary's narration be any different. I will never get enough of his narrations, and I look forward to each and every one I have an opportunity to listen to.

I received an authorized copy of this story/audiobook and am volunteering my honest review.

To Tame a Crossroad Demon!

I was very happy with how fluffy and sweet the romance between Gabe and Van was! These two just naturally accepted and supported each other. So much honesty and sweetness that they both needed for different reasons. I love how descriptive the writing was. Beautiful fantasy romance and Zachary Zaba brought the gentle honesty!

Nephron & a Crossroads Demon

Gabe is a nephilim. Van is a crossroads demon, that has gotten into trouble. Gabe teaches Van patience, and Van teaches Gabe how to be true to himself, all the while falling in love with each other.

I really enjoyed this book.

Zachary Zaba did a wonderful job, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great story!

I love this story! It is another great addition to the Tales from the Tarot series. However, it is a standalone story. Zachary Zaba does another great job narrating this new Hex story about Gabe and Van and I loved them both so much. They were so good together! I really enjoyed their journey of acceptance and self discovery. Plus the spice was nice. I do love tail play. I really enjoyed Hex and can’t wait for more stories!
