This is not the highest quality of writing that’s out there, but it has an excellent story and does a great job of keeping you entertained and fascinated with the story.

Another excellent one in the series

MC has gotten into fights with almost every aristocrat he runs into and it seems like there never a conclusion to anything. More and more characters are introduced and the old just seem to disappear except for a brief mention.

Will there ever be a conclusions??

okay so Mc just keeps getting new enemies every time he leaves his shop but won't finish the ones he already has. it's getting annoying. so hopefully that starts to change on the next book

I like the current plot and pace of the book; my only problem is that it is a bit short.

I’m a huge fan of this series, and while I really enjoyed the book, I found the ending a bit too quick for my liking. As always Theodore, did not disappoint with his wit, trickery and unique problem solving analysis. Please don’t make us wait too long for the next in the series.

The MC becomes more arrogant and also less careful. A lot of the initial charm is lost. As the 4th installment in a series it's sub par. As a standalone book this book is outright bad.
His childish behavior being presented as the product of wisdom is pretty hard to read honestly. He is so OP that there is never a moment of suspense. He is building a persinal gaurd for some reason, even though he is stronger and knows better than everyone. Educated nobles living in a world of superpowers never seen to think beyond the most basic plans. Why are there so many nobles in this one city anyway? There are like 6 counts at this point. Where are their counties? The corruption is so over the top, and yet nothing presents a challenege.
This will be the laat of the series that I read, and I may not even finish.

I think this is a decent book, but there is a bit of overuse of chuckling, and saying things with a smile. Like it feels like at least one of those qualifiers is on more than half of the dialogue sometimes. The narrator did a great job, and aside from the problems above, the writing is average-ish power and progression fantasy quality.
