Joey Clarke was just fifteen when his dad died, leaving him to raise his much younger siblings as his mom dealt with the trauma of bereavement and her failing health. As Joey tries to find a way out, he becomes further embroiled in a web of secrets, lies, and deceit. At risk of losing everything and everyone he holds dear, Joey must consider the unthinkable.

This was a bit slow and muddled for me. I don't think the narrator's voice helped either. The story was just ok. I liked the ending, but the bulk of the story just didn't and couldn't keep my attention.

Was always something going on, and it didn’t always go how I thought it would. Well worth the listen.
