Publisher's summary

Are you longing for your life to be easier and more fun? Would you like to stop pushing, micromanaging, and forcing things so you can relax? What if you could enjoy what you have instead of always lusting for more? What if you could live in "the zone", propelled by powerful currents toward the right people and opportunities? What if you could stop worrying about money and live with more emotional ease in the moment? If you answer yes to all these questions and desire lasting positive change, then prepare to experience the ecstasy of surrender.

The art of letting go, Dr. Judith Orloff explains, is the secret key to manifesting power and success in all areas of life, including work, relationships, sexuality, radiant aging, and health and healing. In our superconnected world, where emails and text messages constantly interrupt us, it's easier to let go than you think. Once embraced, surrendering removes roadblocks and the exhaustion that comes from trying too hard - and it helps you achieve goals more effortlessly and brings ongoing happiness.

With her stunning gift for storytelling coupled with her unique, results-oriented approach to physical, emotional, and spiritual health - marrying neuroscience, psychiatry, intuitive medicine, energy techniques, and more - Judith provides a powerful, practical, and accessible map for anyone who is longing to be happier but who feels stuck, burned out, tense, worried, or afraid to let go.

Great But...

This is a really good audible/book, and I learned a lot from listening to it. If you need to learn how to surrender and let go, this is an excellent place to start.

That said, I have a real problem with how some books undergo name changes without any change to the content. I don't blame the author for this, and my guess is that the publisher is at fault for this. This is the same book as one she published about a year before this one--called The Ecstasy of Surrender. Just a name change; same book.

So there are two audibles with the same content and two printed books with the same content. Some readers may feel duped if they buy two books that end up being exactly the same. The previous book, The Ecstasy of Surrender, should be removed from Audible.

Other than that, I found this to be a great audible that is definitely worth listening to.

Lots of information

There is lots of information in this book which is really useful and good. Unfortunately the chapters aren’t labeled, so take notes in case you want to go back to a specific point in the book. Go through the book for the first time and then wait a month to do it again to get the most out of it.

Boring

It is the same thing you have heard in any New Age book. The best book to learn about surrender from is The Power of Now by Echart Tolle or The Work of Byron Katie. Instead of endless patient stories, they give you real tools to apply to your life. I liked Second Sight and The Empath's Survival Guide, but this is not a book I would recommend.

Lack of spiritual content abundance of topical often repeated money ideas.

I don’t see where the name of the book come from. It’full of topical ideas about money and even very stressful to lessen to.

Tried to listen a few times, couldn’t

I REALLY wanted to like this book. Like a LOT. The surrender experiment changed my life, and I was hoping for something similar. Totally not similar. It tried many times to read and see if this time it euros click…nope. Still found it intolerable 🤷‍♀️
