Publisher's summary

"My name is Amelia Gray. I am the Graveyard Queen, a cemetery restorer who sees ghosts. My father passed down four rules to keep me safe, and I've broken every last one. A door has opened and evil wants me back.

"In order to protect myself, I've vowed to return to those rules. But the ghost of a murdered cop needs my help to find his killer. The clues lead me to the dark side of Charleston—where witchcraft, root doctors and black magic still flourish—and back to John Devlin, a haunted police detective I should only love from afar.

"Now I'm faced with a terrible choice: follow the rules or follow my heart."

The Gray

Amelia Gray, has one foot in the living and one in the gray. She’s able to see and communicate with the dead, which doesn’t help her much as a cemetery restorer unless she’s working to solve a murder, mystery.I loved the story, love the narrators Southern drawl. The characters were all so interesting, you can practically see the whole scene playing out in your head.Amanda and Khristine takes you to Charlston ,you can picture the mossy oaks and hear the southern birds singing and feel the night time breezes.Great story, look forward to hearing more from Amanda.

Love The Graveyard Queen

Where does The Prophet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my favorite series. I've listened to this series, and then re-listened to this series and getting ready to re-listen again. Always hear something new I didn't hear the time before.

What other book might you compare The Prophet to and why?

So far, I've not found any others to compare to the Graveyard series. I keep looking, but have been disappointed. Can not wait for the next in the Graveyard series.

Which scene was your favorite?

John and Shani, very touching

Any additional comments?

Can't imagine this series without Khristine Hvam narrating. She is Amelia Gray. Love it

And the mystery continues

This series just keeps getting better and better. The character and romance development are both slow burns that have steadily grown across the first three books. This is listed as a romance, but that has always felt like more of a subplot to me. Maybe that will change in book four.

And the narrator choice was perfect.

The Prophet
Robert Fremont was killed in a cemetery. That isn't what has brought him to Amelia Gray. She has broken all of her papa's rules when it comes to ghosts. She has fallen in love with a haunted man. She has acknowledged his ghosts. She has promised Robert Fremont that she would find his killer and thereby help him cross over and the more questions she asks, the more dangerous Amelia's life becomes.

Mystery, ghosts, and a love that just might be the end of her.

I really enjoyed this series!!!

I'm always looking for a new series to get into and i'm glad I found this one some of the post say its scary but I would say more like creepy here and there. There is not a lot of action in this series but it still holds your attention the love story is good although I wish she would be more assertive Amelia is the prime candidate for damsel in distress of the year. That gets to be a bit much as i am used to reading stories with strong female characters that kick butt. This does not take away from the story however I hope their is a 4th book cause i'm really into this but the way it ended it can go either way the narrator is good she helps suck you into the story she did a great job. I would say give it a try I think you will like it.

Superb

Wish I could give six stars. Writing and narration are excellent. Best book I've listened to in years!

I may be addicted to this series

The Prophet is book 3 in the Graveyard Queen Series. This book wasn't about Amelia Grey's profession of Graveyard Restorer. It was more of what I would call voodoo. Amelia dies go back to Charleston and to John Devlin, so you get back reacquainted with a lot of the characters in book 1.

Amanda Steven's is doing a great job with this series. Khristine Hvam is also doing a great job with the narration. Both have my full attention with not just theis book but the first 2 in the series and I am pretty positive it will be the same with the rest of the series. Can wait to start book 4.

Creepy but good.

Parts of this are down right creepy but it's a good book. Parts of the ending were pretty clearly coming but parts surprised me and that is good. She cleaned up the end but still left lingering questions that would lead you to another book if she'd just write it and I would read it.

Never a quibble with Khristine Hvam's. She always does a great job.

Okay

Story was soso and tree trunks performance was pretty good. “Spoiler” I always assumed she was the other women. The one trying to get in between a couple. Had me laughing how she went about the whole thing.
