About this listen

In the quiet halls of a small-town community college, five ordinary students find their lives forever altered. When a mysterious system event thrusts them into a galaxy-wide tournament, they must rise to the challenge. With Earth’s fate hanging in the balance, these friends-turned-champions must unlock their latent powers, forge unbreakable bonds, and navigate the cosmic arena.

Emy, the resilient main character, has faced adversity her entire life. Now, she is about to discover a power beyond imagination—one that allows her to shape and integrate matter at the molecular level. This newfound ability, known as “Building,” enables her to manipulate the very fabric of reality. With it, she can rearrange atoms, construct intricate structures, and alter the physical world around her. Alongside her four companions, the team embarks on a journey of growth, skill mastery, and unexpected camaraderie.

Will they emerge as the heroes Earth desperately needs? Or is their path predestined by forces beyond their understanding? In “The Quantum Games,” science, magic, and the boundless expanse of the cosmos weave together in an enthralling LITRPG adventure. As they battle for survival, these college students discover that destiny isn’t always written in the stars—it’s forged in the crucible of the unknown.

Great Book for All Ages

Pretty good book, has a different style of progression for the heroes, but it works for most part.
"The System" moves into our part of the universe and let's mostly everyone take part in the saving of the planet Earth. This story takes part around a group of college kids that all say yes to the question of "will you take part in the Games"
This has a good story line, with no cursing as far as I heard. So kids and adults alike can both listen and enjoy this. The narrator is female, and she does a fantastic job of keeping the story interesting and moving along.

Interesting take on televised apocalypse

This book follows a group of Junior College friends through a somewhat structured and televised system apocalypse. So far, there isn't really an MC, as screen time is shared about equally between the 5 main party members, and there's about 5 more prominent side characters. I liked all of the main party characters, who were relatable and unique. I felt it was an interesting choice to start things at a JC, giving it a bit of a High School vibe while having the characters all be adults and a bit more mature.

Overall, it was an enjoyable story with good humor thrown in throughout, lots of action, an interesting, but loosely defined powers systems and a neutral "system" with pre-established organizations providing outside influence during the integration/apocalypse. This story, unlike most in the genre, actually has a good feel for how civilization is right after: most just have things seem incredibly empty after things start, where 99 percent of everyone is just gone, as if they are huddling in their holes or something. This one, thankfully, doesn't go that route so far.

I enjoyed listening to this book, and will be buying the next when it comes out on Audible.
