Story
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

Story
Everyone dreams of marrying a prince - except for me. I am nothing more than a pawn in my adoptive mother's diabolical plot against the seven kingdoms. I was the chosen tool, her sharpened blade that would cut the deepest into the heart of the kingdom of Baist. But like all deadly weapons, my wedding is two-edged sword that could cost me my soul. For I am Rosalie, one of the adopted daughters of Lady Eville, and it is my duty to enter into a loveless and hate-filled marriage with the narcissistic Crown Prince of Baist.

These are fallen princesses and fierce women with no recollection of who they are, where they came from, or how they arrived in a mysterious town called Everafter. All they know is that they've been sentenced to a stretch in a half-way house by a malicious judge with an ax to grind. They've been stripped of their freedom, their kingdoms, and their true loves. Everything has a spirit: the willow tree with leaves that kiss the pond, the stream that feeds the river, the wind that exhales fresh snow. But the spirits that reside within this land want to rid it of all humans. One woman stands between these malevolent spirits and the end of humankind: the queen. She alone has the magical power to prevent the spirits from destroying every man, woman, and child. But queens are still just human, and no matter how strong or good they are, the threat of danger always looms.

Loved this installment
I think this installment was the most entertaining so far, but I don’t want to spoil it by saying why.
The love triangle of Sophie, Agatha, and Tedros dragged on a bit for me in the beginning, but then things picked up, and we’re back in the magical adventures that make this series so much fun.
I also loved the ending of this one. There are 3 more books in the series but I’m tempted to stop reading here because I’m happy with the resolution.

Getting a Bit Silly
I enjoyed the simplicity of the first book's storyline, however by this third book the tale seems to have become so silly now that it's lost me. I pushed through because I hate leaving a book midway, and I'm always hopeful that it will win in the end. It's like Chainani took parts of every modern magic story and stuffed them all in one book, and it seems like the story got away from the author near the end. He pulled it off, but barely. I'm not sure I will be moving onto parts 4-6.

Good life lessons
I have read the first book and listened to the second and third so maybe that was the reason I disliked some of the character voices. Overall, the third book has an amazing lesson to tell - to love ourselves for who we are, no matter and to not rely so much on other people judgement. Still, at some parts I just wanted to kill both Agatha and Sophie because of their stupidity or lack of common sense. I will how ever buy all the books, to keep in my bookshelf and read again some other time.
