Publisher's summary

After losing her parents, American artist Elena set out on a trip around the world. Now, in the sultry heat of the Middle East, she's having a hard time imagining returning to real life back home. But with half of her vacation still ahead of her, she and her friend are packed and ready to move onto their next destination...when a chance encounter changes everything. A dark, handsome stranger with a devilish grin catches Elena's eye, but how could she know that an innocent favor is about to change her life forever?

Sheikh Asim always relies on his intuition...with business and with women. Along with his brothers, he works hard to keep their company profitable, but he prefers to live in the moment. With pressure mounting from his mother to settle down and marry a family friend, Asim needs an escape. He's enchanted by the beguiling American beauty he sees at the café, and she couldn't have come along at a better time. But when he asks her to be his fake fiancée, he never could have known she would change his life forever.

The two waste no time coming together, but when the spontaneity wears off and Elena learns of an unexpected complication, will Asim be ready to face the future?

Love the new narrator!!

I am truly a Leslie North fan. These sheikh series are sweet, steamy and have the added draw of foreign lands. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet story!

This was a sweet short love story with a HEA. I liked the main characters Asim and Elena. The story was predictable, but well written. I hope we'll learn more about the other characters in this Series. This was my first Leslie North's book and my first listen to Roberto Scarlato. He has a great voice and I like his voice when he is acting Asim.

A sweet surprise.

With Asim and Elena, Ms. North veered off course. Normally she sets out to seduce her readers with the alpha hero and his tempting ways. This time, she laid the groundwork for romance before any enticing was done. It took a bit longer for the spark to ignite, but the end result was an amazing love story. Like the elegant sagas of old, The Sheikh's Fake Fiancee has a captivating quality that lingers even as the journey ends.

Usual Fake Fiancee

This story is sweet and it follows the usual fake fiancee troupe, but it was still good. Roberto did a good job narrating, there wasn't much difference between male and female voices, but still a good listen.

Entertaining

I enjoyed this book from the beginning. The story was developed well and kept up a steady pace. It is good to see love happen naturally without a whole lot of angst to build up to the loving. These two sparked and the fire was ignited and set to a slow permanent burn. The narration evoked the emotions that were intended.

Love this book!!!

I really loved and enjoyed this book. As a Leslie North fan it was just the way I like it with the ending having a little twist. This is my first audiobook, and I have to say that I may go this route in the future; but only books I’ve read beforehand. I was not at all prepared for the 3.5 hrs, but like any other book I made the time. I wasn’t too fond of the narrator at first because he was making my sheikh sound like dracula, but after I adjusted to his rhythm it became easier.

Ruse led to love

Leslie North has been a favorite author of mine for several years. Roberto Scarlato is a top narrator who can perform so many accents. I loved his portrayal of Asim in this book. He has his accents down to perfection. He is able to perform so many characters with distinguishable voices. This particular book hooked me from the very beginning. Instant attraction is a great way to sum up the initial meeting of Asim and Elena. The story is well written and has a happy ending. I did not think this book had any real unexpected twists, but the journey was so enjoyable. The author does so well with her imagery in her stories. I received this book as a gift and have voluntarily written my review. I look forward to the next book in this series. I am curious which brother it will be highlighted (I'm hoping its Aubry and Nassir). I will definitely be listening to more books by this author and narrator.

Oh look... another series I'm hooked on...

It's not surprising I'm hooked, I've read a fair few of Leslie North's books and enjoyed them all. Plus there's something about the fake fiance plot that's just so much fun to read.

I really liked how Elena approached the situation, her willingness to just take it for what it was showed gentle strength. Asim on the other hand came across as quite selfish and self-centered. Asim's playboy was are a bit different the normal male lead in Ms. North's books, but she still manages to create a romance that is enthralling, perhaps even more so because it should be so unlikely.

Loved the narration, the character voices are excellent and the tone and pace are perfect for the story.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet and spicy Sheikh!

This was a somewhat humorous audiobook story. Two American girls are backpacking their way around Europe after college. When they are getting ready to leave Lebanon they meet a gorgeous man in a coffee shop and he flirts with the heroine. His mother is insisting he marry the daughter of a business associate but he doesn’t want to get tied down, especially not just for the family business. On a whim, he asks the heroine and her friend to stay in Lebanon and she can pretend to be his fiancé, so his mother will cancel the arrangements. It’s a sweet and a bit sexy story with a HEA. Narration was just average for me.
