Opposites attract in this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about a free-spirited lawyer who is determined to find the perfect match for the grumpy bachelor at her cousin's wedding.

After a devastating breakup, celebrity-obsessed lawyer Zara Patel is determined never to open her heart again. She puts her energy into building her career and helping her friends find their happily-ever-afters. She's never faced a guest at the singles table she couldn’t match, until she crosses paths with the sinfully sexy Jay Dayal.

Former military security specialist Jay has no time for love. His life is about working hard, staying focused, and winning at all costs. When charismatic Zara crashes into his life, he's thrown into close contact with exactly the kind of chaos he wants to avoid. Worse, they're stuck together for the entire wedding season.

So they make a deal. She'll find his special someone if he introduces her to his celebrity clients. But when their arrangement brings them together in ways they never expected, they realize that the perfect match might just be their own.

Fun read- more sexual content than expected

Overall enjoyable read. More sex than I expected. I wish the publisher’s summary and/or audible would give some rating or clue as to how explicit the sex is and how much of the book is devoted to these scenes. In this book there were so many it took away from the story for me.

All the feels

I absolutely loved this book. The characters are detailed and the story draws you in to be excited and invested in the characters. It genuinely felt like watching a funny, heartfelt yet steamy Netflix romcom! It’s light and although this genre can be predictable, I had to binge this one. I will definitely read the next Sara Desai book. I only wish I could spend more time with the characters after the conflict resolved.

Delightful!

I laughed, I cried, I felt so many emotions! Zara is my kind of people. Jay's growth is my everything. I absolutely was unsure of what to do when I realized this was part of an ongoing series, but I'm so glad I read it. I'm going to read the other books.

It's a fun time! Also, it's giving me Emma by Jane Austen vibes if Emma was kinder and commitment phobia.

I love Sara Desai's work but this was not it!

I'm just going to be honest. Jay can do better! I'm sorry but I found Zara to be insufferable. Her behavior and the off putting things she just blurts out the whole book made this one hard to get through. I feel like you see Jay evolve and grow in this story, he comes into his own. meanwhile Zara remains an airheaded self absorbed clutz. I suppose it is meant to be endearing and adorable. unfortunately it missed the mark. I don't want to read about an adorable 30 something year old! who we are suppose to buy is a lawyer! The aunties saved this one for me.

Couldn’t finish

It may be a great book but I couldn’t make it through the first chapter. The characters seem immature and not relatable. Sadly, I had to return.

Stunted emotionally

Zara is beyond ridiculous, supposed to be an intelligent attorney apparently masquerading as an annoying 12-year-old drama queen. She needs competent, intense therapy, because She. Has. Issues. IRL I would try every single excuse possible, no matter how absurd, to flee from any social engagements including Zara. I haven’t a clue why Jay can stand to be in her presence for more 30 seconds. You know she’s the girl who, when her invite to game night gets around suddenly inspires friends to desperately need a quiet evening and skip game night. She isn’t simple, but she habitually acts like a dimwit. Definitely a high maintenance girlfriend. Jay should run away. Change his name. Relocate to another state or, better, country. Find a nice girl who doesn’t require so much care and feeding.
