Story
Elsie Bovary is a cow, and a pretty happy one at that—her long, lazy days are spent eating, napping, and chatting with her best friend, Mallory. One night, Elsie and Mallory sneak out of their pasture; but while Mallory is interested in flirting with the neighboring bulls, Elsie finds herself drawn to the farmhouse. Through the window, she sees the farmer's family gathered around a bright Box God—and what the Box God reveals about something called an "industrial meat farm" shakes Elsie's understanding of her world to its core.

Story
Breakfast of Champions (1973) provides frantic, scattershot satire and a collage of Vonnegut's obsessions. His recurring cast of characters and American landscape was perhaps the most controversial of his canon; it was felt by many at the time to be a disappointing successor to Slaughterhouse-Five, which had made Vonnegut's literary reputation.

The end of the EarthEnd Saga
Where does The Sound of Seas rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have now had the pleasure of listening to all 3 books of the EarhEnd Saga. It was a fitting end to the trilogy. I love the Sci-Fi aspect of the books and all the characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Caitlin and Jacob O-Hara along with Ben were my favorite characters of the books. But enjoyed the humor of Caitlin's mother and the wisdom of her father. The intimacy of Kala and Caitlin in the 3rd book and just the overall story telling. The books were well worth the read.
Which scene was your favorite?
Obviously Caitlin saving Jacob on the several occasions throughout the series..
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laughed in many places and just in awe in others. Felt the love Caitlin exuded for, Jacob, Ben, her mom&Dad and Kala.
Any additional comments?
Just loved all 3 of the books. And so hope they make a series out of them. I hope that the books don't end at 3 and Gillian and Jeff will see that the story can still forward itself.

Fantasy or Fantastical?
This ending to the trilogy was satisfying, yet disappointing. This book felt woven from the first story in a much more enlightening way than A Vision of Ice. The characters were entwined with a substantial believability although the fantasy became somehow ridiculous in the later chapters. I appreciate the closure this book provided. As with most trilogies, my opinion is that they are just for the publishers, not the authors or the readers. One book with A Vision of Fire and The Sound of Seas would have sufficed.

Amazing performance but difficult story to follow
What disappointed you about The Sound of Seas?
Gillian Anderson gives an entertaining performance by using various accents. The plot is Sci-Fi, certainly, but it's a bit convoluted and difficult to follow.
