About this listen

Hi! I'm Tori Madison, and I hate scrubbing toilets, which is unfortunate because my BFF Hazel and I own Bubbles and Troubles, Blueberry Bay's premier cleaning service. When Mrs. Livingston asked us to sort through the contents of her attic, however, we thought our toilet-scrubbing days were over. That is...until we found her corpse.

As if finding our client's body stuffed in a steamer trunk wasn't enough of an upset, someone needed to save her cat from being sent to a local high-kill animal shelter. That person, as it turned out, was me. I had no sooner set up the critter's litter box in my guest bathroom when he revealed another side. A six-foot-four, hunky, Irish side that only I can see.

Before I could come to grips with my new feline friend's secret, Mrs. Livingston's relatives, eager to claim their inheritance, asked Hazel and me to solve the murder. And the amount of the reward was many times over what their aunt owed for the job she hired us to do. Soon we had a plan that included Rune, my new housepet-turned-houseguest.

1st book

I loved this first book but I am finding it annoying and frustrating that these authors start a series and then just drop the entire storyline. Are you calculating that I will buy the next 2 books because I probably will because I am dying for a new storyline. But still…… shame on you

The Squeaky Clean Skeleton

This new series is off to a good start with just the right amount of light paranormal & just a touch of romance possibly in bloom. Since I’m wondering where all this is leading, I’m very inclined to get the next book in the series.

Overall it kept me listening

I found this series hoping it would be another favorite. While it kept me listening, I did find some things a bit annoying as it was an ongoing theme. The use of "wicked" is very repetitive and I think the author could have used other words to convey the same feelings. Also, Gavin's character is creepy and obnoxious. I found myself wanting to skip over the exchanges he had with the other protagonists. Thankfully he's not around much and if I keep listening to the series I can only hope he either grows up a little or isn't around as much.

"wicked" seriously?

The word wicked is too much. If perhaps it was read in an eastern accent, but without an accent, just annoying.

Story was interesting, but I'd prefer not to listen to this reader or read "wicked" as an adjective.

Clever premise

Get an editor Angela Lansbury did not write mysteries. There were other errors so overall it ruined what would have been an enjoyable read

Enjoyable

Very enjoyable story. I almost stopped listening early on because I found the narrator annoying but glad I didn't

Fun

Loved the cat in a bottle! The lead characters friendship was quite delightful. The narrator's voice was refreshingly human. The virtual voice makes books more affordable which I can appreciate, but the technology is not there yet. Narrator did a fine job on all the voices. Irish accent was very real and believable. Looking forward to the next book.

wicked this wicked that

The book wasn't that bad but the "wicked" every sentence is very annoying. maybe if the narrator used it in a better accent it wouldn't be as bad. her Irish accent is awesome though Great job. I'm definitely not going to listen to any of the other books because of the writing style.

“Wicked”

The overall story was very enjoyable and kept my interest. My only complaint was the excessive use of the word “wicked”. It became a little annoying.
