The mighty Mage of shadowdale

The story was epic, the narration by John Pruden was perfect it brought the story to life. His voice was perfect like he was meant to Narrate this story.

It’s a good listen with some good forgotten realms lore. It can be a bit tough to keep track of all the side tangent characters.

Performance was amazing 👏🏼 and like always the story had a death grip on me! Can't wait to read/listen to the rest of the elminster storyline!

it was a little scattered but overall a great story highly recommend for those who love the Forgotten Realms Universe.

This book is less action oriented than the previous novels, but what it lacks in combat it makes up in lore. Don’t get me wrong, the fights that are in the book are great, but the history about Faerun is by far its greatest gift.

What made the experience of listening to The Temptation of Elminster the most enjoyable?

John Pruden does an excellent job as always. It's really why I went to this series after Erevis Cale.

What was most disappointing about Ed Greenwood’s story?

People say Greenwood's work can get messy. I thought the first two books were great; tightly wound stories that were easy to follow. I get it... this book was suppose to be about how others were effected by Elminster and forces. But, it was just a mess. Characters are all over the place. Not know who is with who and why people are doing what they are doing. Just a real killer. There are huge gaps with no Elminster.

Which scene was your favorite?

Sadly, it was the very very end of the book. Literally, the last few pages.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

C'mon. This would not be the book to make a movie. Period.

Any additional comments?

I would still recommend the novel but perhaps do so with a little preparation. Be prepared to look-up names online and take your time. Sometimes, I literally write down names and who they are so I can understand.

Can't go wrong with the Elminister series! Narrator does a great job of bringing back the nostalgia I remember reading this book in highschool! 11/10 across the board!

I love listening audio books. I just don't have the time to be reading books. That I've been putting off for awhile now. Thanks to audio books I get too catch up on some books that I've been putting off for awhile now
