About this listen
The truth about human history is about to be revealed...but will we be allowed to know it?
For thousands of years, the truth about human history has intentionally been suppressed and exploited.
For decades, scholars have been saying that the truth about human history will be found inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, but up till now no one has ever been able to find it. Those who tried have been ridiculed and persecuted.
Will Daniel Rossler and Dr. Sarah Clarke be allowed to uncover the real and true message? As they come closer to the truth, skepticism out of the academic community is replaced by evil and malicious adversaries, dumping them into a very hostile world where violence, deceit, and duplicity become their daily companions. The mysterious Orion Society with its deranged and psychopathic members, the CIA, the Marines, the Mossad, and even the president of the United States become involved. Not all of them have good intentions.
The Tenth Cycle is a full-length novel, a provocative technothriller about human history, conspiracies, and an ancient society with power and money that will stop at nothing to reach their sinister goals.
This fast-paced thriller adventure is the first book in J C Ryan's Rossler Foundation Mystery series.

Story
March 11, 2004. The Madrid train bombings kill 193 innocent civilians. What the terrorists didn’t know was on that fateful day they also succeeded in creating their worst nightmare. No one knew who he was, what he looked like, where he came from, nor who he worked for. He was a sniper who could take a target out from 800 yards to a mile. He could kill with a long gun, short gun, or no gun. He was lethal with edged weapons, explosives, poisons, or no weapon at all. Targets could be executed from afar or die with his breath in their faces.

Where does The Tenth Cycle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I read a lot of mystery and thriller books every month and most of them turn out to be pretty meh. This book was an exception. The synopsis promises an action packed book and then the book actually delivers on that promise. Apart from a few dull moments, the story is fast paced and never bored me. The suspense is well crafted and every chapter makes it more n more thrilling. It all comes to a head in the end and climaxes with a satisfying ending.
What about William Andre Gensburger’s performance did you like?
The narration was one of the good points of this audiobook. Andre delivered an awesome performance, with a distinct voice for each of the characters. All the dialogues were clear and understandable and I didn't have to rewind, which I hate to do.

A decent archaeological thriller
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was an interesting archaeology thriller involving the pyramids. The narrator did a good job of providing unique voices for characters and the story, though a little slow at times, kept my interest.

Bad audio, but book worth purchasing
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would definitely recommend the print or electronic version of this book to a friend. The story is fun, action packed, and fast paced. However, I wouldn't recommend the audiobook because the narrator's voice (I'm not sure if it's a weird accent or a lisp) kept pulling me out of the story, and tarnished my experience with this story as a result.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Absolutely! I felt like I barely had a chance to catch a breather before the characters were thrust into more action.
How could the performance have been better?
I'm not sure if the performance could've been improved by the narrator as the problem was his voice. However, the book could've been performed better if it would've been done by a different narrator.
Do you think The Tenth Cycle needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, this story has more threads than Souja Boy has stacks. Another book could easily be written.

Excitement Awaits
This thriller has all the right beats to process a fun, edgy story about how our history may be missing some important facts! They author did a great job building a believable story and characters.
My only suggestion would be to remove the announcement of the end of the chapter. It is a little distracting.

An edge of your seat thrill ride!
If you love a great mystery that is smart and well written this is the novel for you. My only mark off is the secondary nature of Ryan's female characters who appear to be relegated to be damsels in distress or grieving widows when they are no longer the objects of the male gaze.

The Tenth Cycle
I don't see a whole lot of archeology going on in this book.I'm not sure I will finish it.The narrator is pretty bad.William Andre Gensburger sometimes has a decent accent ,ten he goes back to his reading with no inflection or feeling. It is hard to listen to.It also is very 'HOORAH" men are great, brothers stand together, etc. There is one woman whe doesn't stand out at all.The story is good, even with the detractors.“I was given this free review copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review."
