Publisher's summary

Divorced, beheaded, died.

King Henry VIII is inconsolable over the loss of his beloved queen, Jane Seymour. He banishes himself to the lower-levels of Whitehall Palace and refuses to see or speak to anyone. A deeply concerned Cromwell has a desperate plan: To send down the old court jester, the unstable Will Sommers, into the darkness, to somehow help. Meanwhile, Cromwell's enemies at court are gathering.

Henry's grief regresses into a strange kind of manic madness.

But can a fool really save the King?

Henry VIII and The Court in a radio play

This is a radio or TV script performed by a single narrator. A male narrator would have fit the text better. History is accurate. The pivotal issue of the plot needs to be clearer earlier.

Odd

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is a play - I listened to the audio version so all stage direction, dialogue and characters names are narrated. The characters are predominantly male but this is narrated by a female. Her choices for the male voices were not always the best. The plot is disjointed and a bit odd.
