About this listen

After facing her nightmares head on, Keira soon finds her troubles have only just begun, and if she thought mortals were dangerous, then being hunted by the world’s most powerful beings will spin her further into a web of supernatural destruction.

Keira can’t help seeing the handsome man before her. She can’t help the dreams that consume her, and neither can she stop him from wanting her. But the controlling man who follows her every move isn’t the man she’s dating but the man who's hunting her.

Now it’s down to the only man with enough power to keep her safe, and he doesn’t play well with others. Nor does he take kindly to people trying to take what belongs to him, and Keira belongs to only one man...Dominic Draven. Will the fight for their love be enough to survive the new world she is forced to live in? And, more importantly, can she survive being with the king of the Afterlife?

Stephanie Hudson has dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia has turned into a life's dream. Afterlife is her first book in the series of seven, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart.

Better and better!

This is perhaps the tenth time that I've listened to this amazing series. It truly never gets boring (for me, at least). I can't say if it is the stupendous way Stephanie Hudson has with words, descriptions, and character development or if it is due to the remarkably talented Ms. Rainsford. She truly brings these being to vivid life!

I need more Draven and Kiera. I love the narrator as she brings all the characters to life.

Fantastic

I absolutely loved this book. There is such a charm to some of Kiera's stubborn behaviors. The descriptions of the godly men left me excited for their return. I still struggle on occasion knowing that I have to wait to know who is speaking since the men's voices are all the same. The introduction of Lucius was not disappointing.

This book needs a trigger warning ⚠️

I love the potential this storyline, but I have never wished so hard for a blossoming love to die! I was literally yelling at the main character to pick a different man, literally anyone else, for the last 2 books worth of this story. I say it should have a trigger warning because it reminds me of every abusive relationship I have ever had. The man is constantly yelling at her, breaking things, and turning every bad thing he does around to make her feel like it was her fault. He controls her, not letting her go where she wants or work as much as she wants and fights with her when she wants to go see friends. She walks on eggshells around him and is afraid to talk about her problems or wants and needs cause she is afraid he will get mad at her. He even goes so far as to make changes to her body without her permission because he thinks she belongs to him and it's his right to do whatever he wants to her. She continues to forgive him because he fixes what he breaks and explains everything away and they have great makeup sex. This book was a huge trigger for me and the only reason I continued to the next book is in hopes she wakes up and moves on but also because I love the potential for the story line. It's a good book just can't stand the guy in the book.

Awesome!!!!

Bring on book 3!!!!

New spin on the supernaturally weird. Well narrated and surprisingly not repetitive for such long books.
