Publisher's summary

This is book six in the Holiday series.

Scarlet Campbell’s friends had all coupled off, and it had happened this year. All five of them had found love while Scarlet had continued to go back and forth about coming out to her family, and on top of that, she still couldn’t talk to women. Every time she tried, she choked. She got nervous. She said something stupid. As a result, she was still a single nerd who worked as a data analyst and did coding on the side.

Dakota Wagner was new to the marketing team of a software company, tasked with building a customer community. To do that, though, she needed data. When Dakota was sent Scarlet’s way, she found the woman endlessly adorable, so she wanted to get to know more about her other than her fascination with sugar and numbers. In Scarlet’s eyes, Dakota was sexy, smart, and would have no problem finding a girlfriend easily, so Scarlet didn’t think she’d have a chance. Little did she know that Dakota was exactly who she needed in her life to get the courage to be more herself, conquer her fears, and finally come out to her family.

Absolutely love Scarlet.

This is such a cute story. I love how shy and awkward Scarlet is. No stupid misunderstandings and 3rd act breakup which I love in a story. Open communication between mature adults (even if they're young). I also liked Dakota a lot. How she's so much more mature than her age. Doesn't play games and knows exactly what she wants. It was very refreshing.

Great narration and once again I loved the awkward voice she used for Scarlet. You can feel the shyness radiating from her voice.

Finally the wait is over!!!

I would have to say even though it was a long wait it was totally worth it! Once again the narration by Carolyn Eve was fantastic!!! And of course the story written by Nicole Pyland was fantastic!!! Carolyn made it feel, at least to me, that the written and audiobook version were two different stories. Either way you see it, it was a fantastic end to a series!!! Thank you both, Nicole Pyland and Carolyn Eve!!!

Best In the Series

I love loved this series. I am so sad to see it end. I cling to the hope that at 7th friend pops up somewhere that moved away after college and just comes back into town after years. Thank you for saving Scarlett for last. I love the low angst and just overall flow of all the books in the series, but Scarlett's by far and the Epilogue for the series are my favorite. I highly recommend. Carolyn Eve has crept into my top 4 narrators only behind Abby Craden and Lori Prince and tied with Lula Larkin. Excellent ending to the series, but I would definitely trip over myself to read more from these characters again. .

Great writer

I loved this continuation of the series. The series would be perfect foe Showtime. Just say mmming. Only issue I had was the narrator. Her voice was not the best for me . I would have preferred Abbey Craden or Angela Dawe. Overall though a great series.

Sweet Scarlet... The Wait is Really Over!

This is the last book of the Holiday Series and is Scarlet's time.

This is bittersweet since I loved this series so much, but was also very much looking forward to Scarlet's story.

I am introvert like Scarlet and related so much to her character and her genuine reactions. I don't have a Twizzlers addiction, LOL, but do like my sweets. Scarlet's intelligence is off the charts sexy!

When she says Dakota is the "world's most perfect butch", Ellie and the others encourage and are very happy for Scarlet. Dakota is smitten with Scarlet and takes gentle care to ensure Scarlet's comfort throughout their relationship.

Scarlet is the character you root for! It's fun to catch up with the other friends and how all of their relationships are progressing.

The series ends where it began, New Year's Eve. Very fitting. The characters are so relatable. This is a series to read over and over again.

Narrator Carolyn Eve did a fantastic job with this series! This had to be a challenge with all of the characters. She delivered the serious lines and the comedic lines wonderfully. Ms. Pyland did an excellent job picking Ms. Eve as a Narrator.

Nicole Pyland once again delivered an excellent book and series! There will be a What Happened After ... coming soon, which is a great time to catch up with the characters.

At Last

Scarlett Campbell is only out with her friends and is so shy that she’s never had a girlfriend. Dakota Wagner is a new employee at Scarlet’s work and has shown an interest in her. Will Scarlet be able to move into this new relationship and will Dakota be patient enough to wait? It’s time for midnight kisses. Great series.
