About this listen
An engineer looking to prove herself. A driver in need of a comeback. One race season to win it all…
Sienna Skye is a race engineer at GreenSkye Racing, one of the top F1 teams, crunching the critical data so their drivers perform their best on the racetrack. As one of the few female engineers in the sport, she’s determined to show everyone she’s capable of winning a championship for her team.
Finn Di Santis is a driver whose steely determination and killer instincts used to win him Grand Prixes and racing contracts. Now, he’s scraping by at the bottom of the leaderboard with only his charm keeping the sponsors happy. All Finn has ever wanted is to race, but his dream might come to an end if he doesn’t start winning.
When an opportunity arises for them to compete together this season, it could be Sienna’s biggest career moment and Finn’s chance at the comeback of his life. With the cameras and pressure on them, the race is on for Sienna and Finn to fall into sync and bring home victory. As their reluctant partnership turns into something more complicated, Sienna and Finn begin to wonder if there’s more at stake here than their careers. If they can learn to trust each other, they could be the perfect equation to winning it all. But can they make it through the season with their hearts intact?

Story
Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after. But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

What's that saying? When life hands you lemons... What if I don't want to make lemonade? What if I want to pummel them into non-existence? Anything is better than admitting how desperately I want a taste of that sweet lemonade. That's exactly how I felt when my college assignment threw me in the direction of Miller Cain. My body screams for him while my brain warns me to run for the hills. He's the captain of the ice hockey team with a cocky reputation. He's a sweet talker and the bad boy promising me the ride of my life.

Fantastic cast and great story
Had an absolutely fantastic cast, transitions between characters were great. Especially loved the audio effects of speaking on radio. Super cute story that definitely gave more insight to the goings on in racing. Definitely a recommended listen!

Listened to the first 30 min and wanted to stop but knew all the great reviews couldn’t be wrong. They weren’t!!! The amazing audio efforts and narration made you feel like you were almost there! Even if racing isn’t of interest, it’s not mine, but found this book fascinating and well written.

F1 girlies MUST READ ASAP
What a production!!I am a F1 fan so my worlds collided. This book really captured the sport from technical terms-building strategy-high performing athlete mindset and most importantly its male dominance. Putting women in STEM front & centre through the brilliant and lovely FMC had me hollering! F the glass ceiling. MMC reminded me of Daniel Ricardo a lot(IYKYK). Oh and to add Netflix DTS into the mix was so entertaining. I was squealing. The conversations between the FMC and MMC privately and on the race radio had me on edge and fawning over them. Perfect match. I need all the F1 girlies to read this ASAP

I’ve never even seen an F1 race!
I’ve seriously NEVER watched F1 (or most any kind of) car racing - but I took a shot with this book because the preview drew me in. It was fully entertaining! First, I have to hand it to the talented narrators & production team - the audio, the sfx & the way it was all layered into the story was very compelling. Add in the narrators & of course the story over the other elements & you have a wonderfully fun & nicely written journey with romance, girl power (which was awesome to hear), a comeback story. A very pleasant listen.
I would RECOMMEND this book!

Masterpiece with a focus on women in STEM
If you’re looking for an audiobook that delivers not just a captivating story but an immersive listening experience, this one truly stands out. The characters are exceptionally well-developed and balanced, each with distinct personalities that draw you in. Their accents add an extra layer of charm, making them feel even more authentic. The numerous voices was such a bonus, adding depth and engagement that I've seldom experienced. The sound effects are seamlessly woven in, transporting you right into the heart of the story—whether it’s the roar of the track, the sounds of the pit, team radio channels, or the thrill of the cockpit during intense moments. The interweave of the track announcers was a creative - and stellar - approach to setting up each of the races. I think I've become an F1 fan!
What thrilled me most was the strong focus on women in STEM, a refreshing and inspiring theme that gives depth to the narrative. The emphasis on teamwork and mutual support sends a powerful message to all listeners, reinforcing the idea that success is not just about individual brilliance but about lifting each other up. This audiobook is a perfect blend of engaging storytelling, rich audio production, and meaningful themes—definitely a must-listen! A rare story that drove me to immediately listen to it again!

the radio scenes, the announcing, it didn't feel like a book it felt like I was at the track again. 🥺😍
I loved the way I felt the emotions throughout this book. As a race car driver it felt good to know the author understood racing, the behind the scenes. and the terminology.

Everything I wanted and more
When I say I want an F1 romance, THIS is what I want. Focused on the storyline, some of the romance, but without being 90% cringey smut. My only regret is finding it too early that I don't have 8 in a row to binge.
I did laugh the whole way considering the disclaimer that this is purely fictional and not based on anyone real, when there's an Aussie heartthrob struggling and going for a comeback (it's ok, I wanted this to be the Danny story too), a British woman in the paddock whose father founded a team and has a special attachment to Silverstone/Sommerstone, someone who refers to themselves a smooth operator lol. It was so much fun finding these little Easter Eggs.
I would like many more of these please !

Great story
I loved the characters in this story. The accents were great. The sounds effects added to the experience of feeling like you were in the race real time. I also appreciated the focus on women in STEM and showing how a significant other can be supportive in uplifting and supporting his partner. Great story that will definitely be on repeat.
