Publisher's summary

Be careful what you wish for....

Wilma Sturtz is invisible and miserable at school. So when an old lady on the subway offers her a wish, Wilma immediately asks for popularity - in fact, she asks to be the most popular kid at school.

Suddenly, Wilma has more friends than she can keep track of, 40 dates to the Grad Night Dance, and a secret admirer writing her love poems. Everything is great, until she realizes there's a loophole in her wish, and her time in the spotlight has almost run out.

Great listen!

This is now one of my favorite books!! I would recommend this to more of middle school and young high schoolers, but can be read to really any age. It was a great narration overall, but all the boys sounded dopey, and some of the girls have very high pinched voices. But overall one of my very favorite listens.

Finally Not A Princess story!

ELLA ENCHANTED is what the author is knwon for best. She writes lots of books with kings and queens, princes and princesses. Think CINDERELLA! But this was finally more modern and of course with magic and still for kids. How is that not the perfect makings for a great read!
