Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

My name is Bird Howsley, and I'm a beautiful disaster. Okay, "beautiful" is probably being generous. But the "disaster" part is right. In a brutal dystopian waterworld, where survival depends on skill and smarts, I'm pretty much always one bad decision away from watching my life go completely down the drain. Luckily, I have a lifeline: my cute, level-headed sailing teacher, Sargo Paz. Did I say cute? I didn't mean cute. He's just a friend. I definitely don't have weird sex dreams about him.

I'd lived my whole life with a terminal illness, knowing I'd never be normal. I existed, taking it one day at a time with my dog as my sole, faithful companion. Then one day, Fate intervened and an encounter with a beautiful man gave me something I'd never had before: Hope. Raphael was kind, sweet, and almost...magical. I'd never believed in magic before I met him, but now, I wasn't so sure.

Killian walked into my new voodoo shop late one night with an urgent request—he needed me to heal his friend. Only I know absolutely nothing about voodoo, or healing. I’m just trying to start a new life with what little family I have left after my dream of becoming a star on Broadway went up in flames. Literally. At first glance, he was an average looking guy with a European flair. Nothing outside the ordinary in the city of New Orleans. But despite his nerdy-boy attire, Killian was most definitely all man.

A tense dark fantasy that keeps you coming back for more.
I picked this up on a recommendation from a friend despite not being a fan of the genre, and I'm so glad I did. The beginning was a bit of a slow burn, but after a few chapters I was hooked, and this was all I listened to until it was over.
The Witch takes place in a fantasy world with a touch of Brothers Grimm-esque dark forests and evil creatures. Every encounter kept me guessing, even with the characters you'd assume are the heroes. The ending wrapped things up neatly to begin the next book, which I will be picking up on release day, whenever that is. Can't recommend this enough!

Haunting fairytale
This is very original and creepy while being very emotional and interesting. Val is relatable and is just trying to survive a world she doesn’t know from her sheltered life. The tension at the end is peak. Definitely worth the listen and I will be anxiously awaiting the other books in the series
