Publisher's summary

C.J. Phillips and cohorts have scoured much of the western world to bring you this book of the world's funniest bathroom gibberish. Attempts were made to keep the contents of all The World's Funniest Bathroom Graffiti volumes as disgustingly respectable as possible (good luck!). Unlike other graffiti books which present any kind of graffiti, this book concentrates on wall-writing that's funny.

Samples from the book series are below:

  • Stand close, don't flatter yourself.
  • If you shake more than once you're playing with it.
  • Toilet paper compliments of Idaho Sand and Gravel Company.
  • Misery is a flooded stall and a hole in your shoe.
  • Hormones are a big bust.
  • Archaeologists date everything.

This audiobook includes two additional audiobooks. Your audiobooks are presented in this order:

  • The World's Funniest Bathroom Graffiti, Volume 2
  • The A-spot Orgasm: The Elusive Super Orgasm
  • 100 Great Lines to Put in Your Personal Ad

Kinda Funny

This was an ok read... Some of the sayings were literally laugh out loud funny. The best part was the bonus book on the A-spot. Definitely learned something new there.

Overall, this was worth a good chuckle.

Not good material for an audiobook...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'm not sure that this can be enjoyed as an audiobook. There are too many visual references and the narrator moved so quickly it was difficult to process the punch line before he was on to another "joke"

What could C. J. Phillips have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It seemed as though he was yelling each joke at me. It think it would have been better if the pace was slower and if he didn't try to do a different voice for each joke. Maybe he should have tried alternating between 2 or 3 voices that he did well.

Would you be willing to try another one of Anthony Lee’s performances?

Sure :)

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The World's Funniest Bathroom Graffiti?

I would not have included the 2 bonus books. The subject material was so random that I don't feel that they really had a place in this audiobook.

Potty humor

Any additional comments?

The pace for this is rapid and at times difficult to catch, it does keep on moving. I think this would have been better in book form. There are some LOL moments, but it's a lot of rapid fire one liners. All in all, it's potty humor, not like George Carlin was writing all this.

Not for Me

Any additional comments?

This was not a book for me. It did have a few parts that were very funny, but due to the visual references it has, it would be better to read the actual book.I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Target Audience: Juvenile Men Ages 12 y/old +🚽

🚽 The introduction to this book came with the disclaimer that the listener may not "get" the humor via listening to the book as opposed to seeing it on pen and paper or in digital format. I could not agree more.

🚽 While the book did have me chuckling in several places, the constant 'S' (sssssssss) sound to distinguish between two samples was quite distracting. I found myself missing one fourth of the examples because I became annoyed by that sound.

🚽 I believe that this book's target audience is for the male species ages 12 and older. I'm interested to see if that is reflected in the reviews.

🚽 CJ Phillips is brilliant if she can earn a living noting what she and others have observed while scouring the restroom!

🚽 Anthony Lee is pleasant to listen to IF you enjoy the material (or can ignore, if potty humor isn't your thing).

At the end of the book I was treated to an unsolicited speech on female orgasms and good lines to put in a personal ads. Unsolicited, unwanted and undesirable. Next time I will take a closer look**

**I usually look at the category of a book but skip the summaries for such small (less than one hour) books because the publishers publishers summary can give it all away.

Notes: Not for anyone under the under the age of 17 (especially the second installment) strong language and slang for identifying body parts and sexual content

This is volume number two in the series, I will not be hunting down volume 1.

I'm not sure if this book needed to be on audio. it was little entertaining but I couldn't really get into it or the narration. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

It was what I expected

I didn't really think this was going to be very funny to me but thought I'd take a chance that I might be wrong. I wasn't. Definitely not my kind of humor. I was also interested in how a book that dealt with the written word as a character in itself would be presented in audio. Now that was interesting . Some of it was spelled and some was described and it worked. It didn't take much away from what I imagine the book looked like, although that's not saying much in this case. I think teenage kids might find this funny.
I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is the “ok to print stuff”?!

The intro says he had to weed out the stuff that wasn’t fit to print. My gosh, I’d hate to see how bad that was because this is really crass.

The narrator is not good. Puts on really overblown voices and reads stuff with odd emphasis. Very uncomfortable.

I stuck with it hoping, but only got 9 minutes past the intro and author’s note.

Apparently there are two bonus books at the end but I didn’t bother to try those since—based on the main material—I assumed they’d also be crass.

I received a free copy of this book.
