Gluten-pocalypse" or "Dijinn-a-pallooza

A delightful and entertaining set of stories. Well done and worth listening to.

Scott had commented about this story set in his "The 5 Day Novel" book. I found the idea interesting and after listening to his "5 Day" book I wanted to hear his fiction writings.

How can you not want to hear the story of the Cupcake, Brownie war? Really!! Honestly, Scott did a great job teasing the book in "5 Day".

I was not disappointed. This is a great young adult story set. It is light hearted for the most part but the underlying conflicts are real, relevant and relatable for most young adults.

The narrator was pleasant to listen to and did a very good job with character differentiation.

This was an entertaining and enjoyable listen that I will share with my daughter.

Mystical Adventure..

Any additional comments?

This box set is filled with Mystical Adventure and is geared towards the young reader.

The three stories in the set are the following:

-Cupcakes vs Brownies
-Mermaids vs Unicorns and
-Genie vs Djinn (which was my favorite story)

Overall, a Good addition to any fairy tale collection.

Eric Michael Summerer did really well with the narration, especially with the Djinn's voice.

Odd but Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. The story seemed to be a bit scattered, but it came together in the end. The characters were mostly simple, but there was depth to them. Zimmah in particular was quite compelling. Unfortunately due to the nature of the subject matter, it didn't seem to go far enough, but that made it possible to have the story in the first place. If you went as far as possible with seemingly endless magic, the story would never end and be really scattered.

The narration was top notch as each character was distinct. So often that is not the case, but there were no problems here. Overall, this was a great diversion, though I wouldn't recommend it for those without a generous sense of whimsy.

Very Fun!

I enjoyed this fun and clever journey into a lesser explored mythology. This magic takes the kids and the audience on a path of self-explanatory and adventure.

Kids stories for the young and young at heart

Great trilogy. Wild and whimsical. I've read one before but was thrilled to get all three in one set. My kids and
I enjoyed them immensely and anything that we can listen to
Together is always great in my book. Well written and well narrated. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Gluten Allergy?

Fun, fantastic series. If you want a fun read, with good plot and characterization as well as a good moral story. Check this out:

The Cupcake Queen and the Brownie King sure don't get along. It's full on war. It's too bad they're married. If you want adventure. If you want someone with a gluten allergy stuck in a world made of food he cannot eat, then you need to check this book out right now!

Boy can Mermaids and Unicorns fight. But not to worry, the kids are there to save the day! This book is awesome and ridiculous. And you, yes you, the one reading this right now, should definitely check it out.

Lots of magic and the clear differences between Genies and Djinns. This is the conclusion of the trilogy, and it really brings it full circle. The person who you thought was up to no good and mischief the entire time... well, he may be doing everything he's doing for a reason. Perhaps... he cares. Great conclusion, and it leaves me wonder. Is...

Captivating + Originality

Where does The Zimmah Chronicles Box Set rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's definitely in my Top 10

What other book might you compare The Zimmah Chronicles Box Set to and why?
Magic Tree House?
Although that series is shorter and more historical, it also catapulted the characters into a different world in which they had to figure it out.
Other than that series, this book really stands in a class of its own. Who would expect a desserts to fight one another? Or mermaids and unicorns to be selfish creatures with a evil agenda? Genies and Djin are known to be magical or wish givers, but that story also is innovative with a resounding lesson to be learned.

What does Eric Michael Summerer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Eric was good narrator for these books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Twice. When Whitney experienced her mom's pain.
Then the ending. (I don't want to ruin it for anyone.) It was unexpected. Completely. It wasn't a cliffhanger, but opened the door with thy myriad characters to keep readers (or listeners) eager for the next installment.

Any additional comments?
I'm so satisfied with the series and author. I started with the book and got so wrapped up in it, I was ecstatic to be able to listen to it more quickly.
