good book

…but just what I needed.
The story takes place over the course of 1 date, which made it difficult to see the characters grow, but the male character did. I was disappointed that the female character kept repeating the same bad habits, which really made her story more of a romantic tragedy than comedy. I would recommend this book for someone who has come out of a tough relationship or experienced loss and does not know how to move on with love.

Listened to this while working out and gardening. It’s fun and silly making it a nice light distraction. I couldn’t predict most of the twists and that’s what kept my interest. Nice change of pace to have alternating chapters with with alternating perspectives and by two different readers. Summer entertainment at its best!!

This book is leaving in originality and fill of unnecessary babbling on. With an hour and forth minutes left, I finally said I have to stop torturing myself. It's not going to get better. It just isn't!
So very disappointing. Flat, unlikeable characters. Flat story.

It was definitely not what I expected in the way most stories go as to how a man and a woman meet. But it’s was fun and funny! Simon and Lisa are likeable characters who meet on a blind date. They are complete opposites. She is an extrovert who can run ahead of things making assumptions instead of asking questions first. He is an introvert a bit shy. Both of them have their own issues to contend with that affects their self confidence and make their date anything but a normal “get to know you” meeting. I had a wonderful time going along for the ride and was sad when it came to an end. Steve West and Rachael Beresford do a wonderful job in Matt Dunn’s book. You will love this story! ♥️🥰

I'm here for Steve West. 2 stars = just ok. Steve narrating makes it 3-star quality.

The writing is good but the story is weak and a bit mucky. Lisa and Simon are wobbly - one minute I can get behind the character, the next, I want to throw the book down in disgust because, really, who acts as they do? Very inconsistent.

The entire story is about one 24 hour date. It was very boring. I kept listening hoping there would be a turn but there wasn’t.

This could easily be half the length that it currently is. First her side, then his side, then their side. This may work for some, but not for me. I couldn't finish it.
