Publisher's summary

When you find someone who has no hope left, give the bracelet to her....

Sunshine “Sunny” Voorhees David would rather be dead than back in Morning Glory, Mississippi. But after losing both her husband and a pregnancy, she comes home temporarily to the place she swore she’d never return to. Before she can leave for good, she’ll have to fix up the dilapidated family home, convince her mother to move, and avoid the man who broke her heart.

The mistake Henry Delmar made years ago has always haunted him, and now the woman whose dreams he destroyed is back. He wants her forgiveness, but this new Sunny is nothing like the innocent he remembers. This Sunny is hurt, angry, and has built a mile-high wall around her heart.

When Henry’s son runs over Sunny’s motorcycle, the stars line up for an opportunity to show Sunny how much he regrets the way they ended. With the help of his children, a stray dog, and the townspeople, Henry must find a way to rekindle their romance and prove to Sunny that she’s right where she’s always belonged...in his arms.

Come back to Morning Glory for puppy kisses, lattes at the Lazy Frog, and a happily-ever-after.

Liz Talley is a new author to me and I really enjoyed this second chance romance which was very well written. Brittany Presley did a fantastic job of narrating and really expressed the emotions of the characters! Sunshine really carried a lot of emotional baggage and used avoidance as a coping mechanism. The story implied how important it is to face your problems head on if you want to be happy.

Heartbreaking

When first listening to it you begin to think that this is repeat of something else
There were a couple of rough spots and I hesitated finishing it You’re able to Feel the person’s pain without all that extra stuff added I don’t know how to explain that just that the author did an excellent job of portraying it without going into a lot of useless overkill broke my heart and I didn’t want her to go back to him Plus I really wanted her to tell him that she tried to go see him before he got married and the mother stopped her from doing so but for some reason the author didn’t include it
But the ending boy was I choked up and I don’t usually get that way ripped my heart out for some reason have no idea why brought tears very embarrassing
So your choice there was lotta pain and of course a rainbow although I was saddened by all the years wasted good job on this story
If you read my reviews before please be patient this past year my eyes have been going in the glasses don’t help so I have to use the speech thing on the typing part since I can’t see it’ very well it’s difficult to edit which is why I’m now using Audible instead of reading myself

Third Time's The Charm

Sunny is back in Morning Glory after her husband is killed in service and a miscarriage and now she back so her sister can leave. She is not staying but first she has to fix up her mother's house so she can sell it and move her into adult assisted care. Yea, right. She does not expect to run into her old boyfriend who betrayed her and was the reason she left town but she does, in spectacular fashion, and rescue a dog. This one was extra good. This is really a second chance romance with learning to trust again. They all need some healing and this one left me with such a good feeling. Definitely enjoyed this series and recommend it!

A dog gone good end to the series

This was a good ending to the series. You know that is going to end happily ever after, but it’s still an entertaining book.

Once again...

Once again I could not stop listening to the story. The character was a little different from the others, having more of a challenging disposition, but I still enjoyed it.

Good story, ended too quickly

I get really tired of the denouement getting short shrift in genre fiction! Take out some of the graphic sex and finish the darned story with more details. The hand-waving magical "three weeks later" is getting pretty hackneyed. Other than that is was a nice enough ending to the previously enjoyed "Charmed" trilogy. Sunshine at least deserved a tour of the house!

Good Series with Exceptions

Narrator great. B. Presley always does a great job. The series for the most part is a good one. I like the concept of the bracelet and what each character is supposed to achieve from it. My cons for the stories are that the female characters are often times whiny and weak. If a person is in his or her 30's then they should be well past the past! I can't figure out why these authors keep doing this to their characters. It does not add strength to the story. It just comes off as complaining and self pitying. There aren't too many sex scenes so that's a plus. The reader doesn't need to be bombarded with them. We can figure out those things ourselves. Of course there's a happy ever after. The book wouldn't have been over 8 hours if they would've just gotten to the heart of the matter right from the get go.

Emotional

Both the author Liz Talley and narrator Brittany Pressley were new to me. This is a second chance at love story and was an emotional roller coaster of a listen for me as it brought back some very painful memories.
Sunny has returned to Morning Glory Mississippi, a place she swore she would never return to with her life in shambles.
Henry Delmar made a dreadful mistake years ago and cheated on Sunny. She is the one who got away and when she returns to Morning Glory he wants to take the opportunity to make amends and get her forgiveness. I’ll be honest, I don’t like cheaters and even though it happened when they were young, and he said it was while they were on a “break”, it really annoyed me.
Sunny has built so many walls around herself and it is obvious that she is in pain, as well as exceedingly angry with life.
I will say that Henry redeemed himself somewhat as the story progressed . This was a good book but certainly needed trigger warnings in my opinion.
