Really comes into its own

The beginning of this book is... rough... it constantly repeated the same lines over and over again and had little substance. That being said, it quickly came into its own and had a great progression system. Worth the money/ credit!

Wow!

The voice actor did an amazing job with this story. It was an enjoyable listen while I drove out of state to see family. Very good story, and I’m looking forward to book two!

review of this Cursed Sword is E Ranked

I found this Cursed Sword is E Ranked To be a little hard to get into it was a big info dump for the first few chapters but overall a really good book to listen to on my car rides to work.

New perspective. Well narrated. Great plot/story.

This almost felt like Dungeon Core inside of a sword and I loved it! This is a great story from a perspective I have never read or entertained before. Chris and Wolfe did a great job on this one. Once the bloodlust in the sword was matched with the bloodlust in a human, I knew this would be a great adventure and it is! This was my first time listening to anything narrated by Jonathan Johns. I enjoyed his narration but did speed it up to 1.2 for a better flow in my opinion. Great overall and look forward to the next book and narration!

Incredible overall book

Fantastically funny story. Both writing and narration were on spot and quite enjoyable. I loved it overall as it had rich characters with complex motivations and a great plot with enough twists to keep me guessing

A fun post system apocalypse fantasy story

Most apocalypse stories I've read either are set during or long after the dramatic changes to society. This one on the other hand chooses to put on display a civilization a few generations after the sudden initiation of earth into a world of magic and dungeons, long enough to have settled to a post apocalypse magitech fantasy, but not so long that the integration is ancient history.

I found this to be a fun, refreshing setting, with the familiar fantasy and gamelit elements combined in an enjoyable new mix.

This story follows the titular 'cursed sword', Red, a newborn weapon spirit seeking his place in the world... and blood and death, of course.

There are never enough sentient weapon stories, in my opinion, and this is a promising new addition to their number. There are a few things that could be improved, the events can sometimes feel obligatory instead of impactful, but on the whole it's quite an enjoyable story and I look forward to the next. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but not an egregious one. More 'end of part one' and less 'you have to get the next to resolve this scene'.

The narrator does a surprisingly good job; the sample had me thinking he sounds bored and unenthusiastic, but he manages the cast of characters well and once I got used to his voice it wasn't as distracting as I'd thought it'd be.

Overall, a fine way to spend a few hours.

Very different kind of hero.

I liked that the hero has a very off personality, being an awakened object his mental state has a kind sociopath vibe but it works in that he is not a human and can not be expected to think like a human does.
The narrator having a English accent gives more polish and reminds me of a BBC documentary series.
I would recommend this book to anyone you loves progression stories, might, swordplay and magic.

Well written! Exciting Action! Awesome world!

The cover caught my attention immediately. It has a very Dark Souls look. The rich world-building hooked me immediately. The writing is very good, so is the action. I thought the narrator knocked it out of the park. Don't hesitate, buy.

good story with the point of view of a sword.

To be a sword, this is what the book is about. I do like the book, it's a fun story about a swords lust for more power, and how he goes about it. It is well written and enjoy the performance.
