Publisher's summary

Welcome to Rannit, an ancient city awash in magic and mayhem. Wracked by war, but embracing the dubious wonders of steam and iron, Rannit is on the path to renewal - but old magics and older shadows won’t go easily into the light.

Markhat earns his living as a finder. On behalf of his clients, Markhat will find anyone, or anything, for a fee. In Three Mean Streets, his clients include a dead man’s ghost, a mighty Troll warrior seeking his cousin’s mounted head, and the true identity of the corpse allegedly stalking the grounds of a rich widow’s mansion.

Markhat doesn’t believe in ghosts and walking corpses, but for 20 crowns a day, plus expenses, he’ll wade in swinging. With the aid of soothsayer and card-reader Mama Hog, Markhat sets out on three perilous cases, and they share only one thing in common - nothing in Rannit is quite what it seems, and sometimes good and dead isn’t good enough.

Great book!

I love the Markhat books by Frank Tuttle and was happy to see they had this in Audible. I hope they continue to record the whole series. Conner Goff is an excellent reader for this series!

Very Good Urban Fantasy Series

Along with the rest of the series, I had bought earlier Kindle versions of these three novellas. Really enjoyed the narrator and listening to these stories in the audiobook. This series is very good and builds with each book.

A Good Book Narrated Well

I am a fan of this series and the narrator's voice suits the main character perfectly.

Smart, funny and well-written characters

This is not my first meeting of Goodman Markhat. He and I are old friends. And now I have the absolute delight of being able to revisit Markhat’s adventures in audible. The narrator is fantastic. If this is your experience with Frank Tuttle, I envy you. I’m going to re-read the Markhats and wait impatiently for the entire series to be added in audible version.

Tuttle is always a treat!

It's always seemed strange to me that more people have not discovered Frank Tuttle's works. He is absolutely one of my favorites. His stories are worth three of any ordinary raconteur and in this collection you get three tales of the redoubtable Markhat (Does that make this six times or nine times more worthy of your purchase? I was a public school grad so bear with me.) The Markhat Chronicles only get better and better. Hopefully Audible will bring the rest to life. Treat yourself. Drop the credit. You won't be disappointed!
