Publisher's summary

She has to tell him. But she'll lose him when she does.

Maybrie Hawkins used to be known as the Fire Fae who couldn’t be beat. Now that her relationship with Prince Kai is public, she’s known as the lowly Fae who isn’t worthy of the Caster royal. The paparazzi hound Brie wherever she goes. And now it's a matter of state, too. Kai's advisors believe she’s an unsuitable companion, and they don't even know the secret she's been hiding since their first date.

When Brie is invited to participate in an Interkingdom fight in Los Angeles, she jumps at the chance. Unfortunately, her betrayal can’t be left behind when she and Kai travel to the Kingdom of Los Angeles. As if her fierce competition in the ring and their brutal abilities aren’t enough, Brie is faced with an ultimatum: Tell Kai the truth, or someone else will.

Though the thought of losing Kai is more than she can stand, Brie must decide whether to risk his wrath and charges of treason, or flee for her life and lose him forever.

A fight for her life!!

holy bonkers that was amazing!!!
the narrator is amazing
the conflict is delicious, even if predictable. (I mean it had to happen).
the cliffhanger. Dang. I needed the next book before this one was even over!!
Bri ana Kai's relationship definitely changes over this book. for the better, I think. I wish there was more Cala, but we do get a blast from the past where Bri's past meets her future and they are NOT meshing.

What a rollercoaster!

The prologue really, really confused me but starting at chapter one and moving forward everything was fine! This book really stressed me out! The tension between several of the characters and waiting for the other shoe to drop! The ending was so whiplashy! I'm still not over it!

At Last!

I’m so excited to finally have this in audio! Sarah Puckett is completely perfect for Brie, her narration is absolutely on point.

The follow up to the second book is gripping with an ending I didn’t quite see coming. Definitely recommend!

Throne of Fire

This is the second book in this series. It picks up right where book one leaves off. Bree gets the chance to complete against the best fighters form all over the world. She is hiding a huge secret about her involvement with the Rebellion. Kia and Bree are falling more in love with each other. Bree is still trying to find a way to make changes for the rest of the Fae people. This book ends on a crazy cliffhanger. can't wait to see what happens next. This is a really good Fae YA series. Sarah Puckett does an excellent job narrating.
