Pretty good story, plenty of action!

Byron Tibor aka Mike Roberts is living in a small West Virginia town, Winter's Rage. For anyone who hasn't read/listened to the previous two books, Tibor used to be in the Special Forces. He was an experiment , implant in his head enhances his abilities and makes him fearless. The US government wants him back so he lives off the grid
He's found a small town he thinks he could call home. He's been working for Wayne, a 70 year old man living alone in the mountains. His daughter has returned home with her two young children, a monkey on her back (drug addiction) and three hired killers working for a drug cartel looking for her.
There is plenty of action, lots of snow and white outs and a pretty decent story. I enjoy Sean Black, especially his Ryan Locke series. I've never heard of Steven Savile before but if he contributed to this series I will look for him in the future.
This series reminds me very much of the Jason King novels by Matt Rogers.
Grant Pennington does an excellent job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
