Amazing!

An amazing audio version of an amazing book! I've read and reviewed the book on Amazon, so this review is just for the audiobook. I simply adored it! Ms. Raine couldn't have chosen a better narrator! Her performance is flawless, bringing to life each character as well as the action. If you've read the book, then you'll definitely love its audio version!!!

This is not a series to like Hercules but a great new take on the Olympian Gods and their world.

I have no idea why, but I needed a long time to adjust to the narrators voice. After this adjustment though, I relished it so I still don’t know why. She does a great job, this book is not told from the characters pov so there is less need to use different voices in dialogues but still, she also does different voices so I really don’t understand why I struggled at first. I can only find positive things to say about this narrator.
All I know is that I was reading this ebook when my health got a really hard time and it got worse and worse so maybe it was a sort of detachment towards the storyline I just happened to read when all that started and it wouldn’t have mattered which book or narrator it was. The narrator is good, you can check out the sample and make up your own mind, it’s a good representation of her work on the entire book.

The story starts right after the events of book 1. With Abderos missing. Turns out it’s all part of the next God’s trial. In this book it’s Apollo, Dionysus and Hephaestus their trials that will give the champions the thoughest challenges ever. At some times it’s clear that all this trial for immortality really is just something the gods have made up just because they were bored. And they can be cruel. But also just. I love the diversity of the trials, the fact that all members have their own strong features and their own weaknesses and how that factors in with each trial they have to complete, preferably win but in some cases it becomes more of a feat just to survive. These trials certainly shows the reader but also the audience from the book (the rest of the world can watch on these very fun fire-tv’s) which contenters deserve the victory, these are no soft chores that is asked of them but real trials, dire circumstances and all.
It’s a very unique take on Olympus in my eyes. Each god or godess has their own realm, all very unique (it baffles me just how different all the realms are!) so it requires a lot of worldbuilding. And the author succeeds in providing this worldbuilding within the captivating race towards each finishline without losing that pace and without blank spots due to a lack of worldbuilding.
I loved book 1. And my struggles with book 2, the fact why it took me such a long time, were clearly my own mental overload and blockades because I absolutely loved it once I got back into the story!
I really hope I’ll be able to listen to the 3rd book soon because I love this unique world.

Book 2! Amazing

The story continues! Its all action with some drama; the perfect amount in my opinion. I wouldn't change anything, love this book.

Can I also just say how refreshing it is to listen/read a book that has characters with some color! Ive listen and read countless books and if they arent Urban books, people of color are not in them.

Keep coming back for more.

And we’re back for more Trials. This book is just as good as the first. No lagging in action and you learn more about the characters backstories. This series has quickly become a favorite of mine and I can’t wait for the rest.

Absolutely Thrilling!

I read books 1-3 of the Immortality Trials in less than three days and was absolutely ecstatic to continue the story in books 4-6 and it did not disappoint. I really cannot get over the face-paced and thrilling twist on Greek Mythology and cannot wait to pick up books 7-9! I 100% recommend this series!

Awesome continuation of a good series

This was another 3 book series, with lots of action packed into it. This is another great book from an author I have enjoyed books from.

The narrator continued to do a great job. She really helps each character come to life and the voices from this book seem like the same ones as the ones in the first set of 3 books, which helps the books blend into each other perfectly.

My reviews are really late from when I read them, but I made small notes to try and remember what I wanted to say when I was able to get onto a computer and write them out properly.

I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Story continues

The story continues as the crews participate in the trials. Each ones is exciting and well thought out, the characters continue to developed and grow, it’s a very fascinating series.
