Fifteen-year-old Tobias Doljan, a Walker trained to travel through time, is called to serve at the court of Daerjen. I really loved Jackson’s Thieftaker series and wanted this to be that and it is not, but that is not his fault. It is good and I enjoyed it, It might be that the voice I expect is from those stories but I enjoyed the narration very much in the story. The tale jumps back and forth with is easy to follow with time stamps to show for them and the setting is one of magic with a Neo Renaissance feeling. It did enjoy the story but I guess I am a horrid fan and really wanted more Ethan Kaile. I would still recommend the story to others. Jackson has a good style that I enjoy a lot.
