Publisher's summary

To stop her sadistic grandfather, Saul, and his band of time travelers from rewriting history, Kate must race to retrieve the CHRONOS keys before they fall into the Cyrists’ hands. If she jumps back in time and pulls the wrong key - one that might tip off the Cyrists to her strategy - her whole plan could come crashing down, jeopardizing the future of millions of innocent people. Kate’s only ally is Kiernan, who also carries the time-traveling gene. But their growing bond threatens everything Kate is trying to rebuild with Trey, her boyfriend who can’t remember the relationship she can’t forget.

As evidence of Saul’s twisted mind builds, Kate’s missions become more complex, blurring the line between good and evil. Which of the people Saul plans to sacrifice in the past can she and Kiernan save without risking their ultimate goal - or their own lives?

No time like the present

Okay, Kate a teenager who helps her ailing time traveling grandmother who is stuck in time to solve a world domination problem from a group called the Cyrists. Headed by her look alike aunt and her evil grandfather. She jumps back and forth between time trying to retrieve time traveling keys to change or not change events so things (like not being born) don't happen all while not tipping off the Cyrists. With the help of Jack and Trey two men whom she both has feelings for.
This was an awesome series I wish I could time travel to get the next book!

Good but nothing new

I'm glad to continue the story and get deeper into the world but the sequel doesn't captivate or keep me as interested as the first book.

Narrator is best part

I love how she can do so many voices. The story is mostly good. A bit slow, more romance than I would normally like, but I'm in it fo the time travel. This is a great series for young adults (and older adults like me) who enjoy a fairly straightforward sci-fi plot, likeable nd characters. It's kind of like popcorn.

Sometimes irritating

Kates character was hard to listen to sometimes. Rude and disrespectful at times.
There's more but, suffice it to say, I fast fwd past Kates dialogue several times. Saved myself the irritation.

Book #2 is better then book number one.

Arthur did a great job of following up. Character development continued along with how much more in depth storyline.

Great story

Wrap your self in a time tangle. The characters are well developed and you care what happens to them. Must read.

Love this series!

I could not stop listening! I love the mix of history, and how the social issues of race and gender are considered in the telling of this story. Kate Rudd is a great narrator also. Can't wait to start on book 3!

Better than expected

While I didn’t have high expectations of this series, I have quite enjoyed it! The time travel is well handled, and it’s a great first novel! This book sat in my library for a while before I got to it, but I’m glad that I gave it a chance and have moved on to other books in the series.

Excellent Story!

Im really enjoying this series in general, and was surprised to hear that much of it took place right where I grew up! It was great to hear some of the names of places I knew and passed every day as a kid!
Beyond that though, the story is great and keeps my attention (which is rare these days) and it's also believable. I am off to download the next book! I hope it will be as good as this one!
