Publisher's summary

This uplifting chronicle of a boy’s recovery from blindness is a moving reflection of the ways that friendship can permanently join the lives of two very different people. Beautiful, sad, and full of history

I can't believe a children's book made me cry. LOL! A very moving story. If you like this book be sure to read "The Cay". It is the first part of the story.

The Cay; second book!!!

Loved the first book: The Cay
Read it years ago .. never knew there was a second book!
Part prequel to the Cay/what happens after Phillips rescue -will Phillip ever get his sight back? Will Phillip return to the Cay to see what he only felt and could hear? Will he ever see the grave of Timothy?

Great Stories!

The stories were great. Of course the book I read along with the audio book was different, being a different edition. Still, the novel was a good continuation of the first book.

Just As Good!

Well written follow up to the original. This title gives us a greater depth and understanding of our two main characters.

Generally ,very well read. Unfortunately, Woodman’s interpretation of a West Indian accent was a little off putting. However, don’t let that stop you for getting this title. This is a great book and very easy to listen to.
