Publisher's summary

My name is Klutch Zuma. I was the number one graduate from my recruit class. As it turns out, it was just the start of several unlikely number ones I would achieve during my rise through the ranks. In many cases, I was promoted over a host of more qualified individuals based on my survival skills alone. To say that my unusual progress caused a lot of friction between me and my superiors, would be an understatement. Some went out of their ways to throw up roadblocks that would make my life miserable. It only hardened my resolve and made me persevere through the worst they could throw at me. My methods for overcoming the adversities, earned me a lot of enemies. For those of you who are interested in finding out how I dealt with them and my seemingly unending life or death situations, please listen to my book.

Put on a goofy smile and get a whiff of this!

I was hesitant about this book, as I wasn't really interested in a book only about Klutch, he didn't seem all that interesting, not to mention I am eagerly awaiting Book 6 of "First of my kind" and last time, it took nearly 4 years to get book 5, so I saw this as another delay. I was completely wrong, Marc & Ramon turned Klutchs story into a fun, hilarious, and engaging listen, one of those few books that you just listen to straight threw. Some parts gave Klutch too much plot armor, but it actually works, I mean, this is supposed to be one of the most badass troop masters in the galaxy. Rather than a fictional biography about Klutch, this feels like the start to a new series, and I welcome it. No need to have read "first of my kind" first, though it helps you to understand where the character is going. So definitely give this a listen, especially if you enjoy Military Sci-fi where you go through the characters prior life, entrance to the military, bootcamp, and etc, as this does that. Additionally, at the time of writing this, I am the only current reviewer, but it looks like a tech issue. I submitted a prior review for this, but it never showed up, and then today the "write a review" option was back, plus another review that was here is gone also. I doubt no one is reading or reviewing this book, and I will bet many reviews just went "poof" like mine, as his other books all have a decent following, so don't let the low number of reviews turn you away,

Less funny than the rest of the series

The combination of over the top characters in the other books for humor was missing from this book. One major over the top character is really all we got this time around.
