Publisher's summary

She's afraid of everything.

He's afraid she'll make him feel again....

Deer-shifter Mary North may be afraid of snakes, planes, tropical diseases, and strange people, but fate hands her a solo vacation at the luxurious, all-inclusive Shifting Sands Resort, and she's determined to enjoy herself. She isn’t prepared to meet her own mate - and find out he doesn’t want her.

Neal Byrne was an elite member of the military before he was captured and tortured in a private zoo for a collector’s amusement, forced to remain in his wolf form for 10 years. He’s working at Shifting Sands now, doing whatever odd work he can find, and trying to heal his emotional wounds. He knows he’s not fit for a mate, and he’s sure the beautiful, gentle Mary would be better off without him.

When an accident traps the two in an isolated slice of paradise, injured and alone, it will take all their courage and trust to survive. Can two hurt souls find healing at last, or will their fears keep them forever alone?

Tropical Wounded Wolf is a thrilling, stand-alone short wolf-shifter romance. No cliff-hangers!

Book 2 of shifting sands

I have read this entire series since I was compelled to download the whole series after reading one book out of order. Although they are fine as a stand alone. I wanted to see how the story developed and I was right! The audiobook was lovely and I enjoyed listening it on my long drive to and from work. Definitely will listen to eat again!

love it!

I am so happy that the wolf got his happy ending! He was so sad and needed this. Can't wait for the next book. And the duel readers for the reading is so awesome!

Overall I enjoyed this one

I really enjoyed this book and wished there was more of it. I do feel like it could've been stretched out into multiple books for it's own character series within the series. There were a few areas where I felt a bit of skipping, or glossing over, was done where some scenes didn't smoothly transition.

On the more positive side I did love the characters, the storyline was intriguing and I will say again that I genuinely enjoyed the book. It kept my attention to the point i stayed up listening till the book was finished wishing it could've continued a while longer.

love and healing

A great story of finding true forever mates and beginning to heal from old wounds. I liked seeing Mary grow a bit and not being afraid of her own shadow. She wasn't likable in the beginning with her whining and scardy cat behavior. She certainly was aggressive with Neal. lol. When Neal's back was to the wall and it counted he started to live and heal again, and I appreciated that aspect. I always enjoy good over evil. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a good job.

Wonderful

I loved this story. I love how Mary and Neal help each other to grow and heal. The world of Shifting Sands is amazing and all the characters are unique and wonderful.

I had read this story before and the narrators do a amazing job bring the characters to life. I really enjoyed the dual narration, which completely fits how the book is written.
