Terrible Narrator

This is the first book that I have listened to where a narrator is not able to at least try to have different voices for different characters. The narrator also seemed to rush through the book and have no dramatic pauses whatsoever. He used the same quick speed continuously throughout. I also do not think this was edited very well. There were several times where the same line was repeated twice where I think there was an edit and one line should have been omitted. The story was also somewhat hard to follow at times. There was not much backstory or explanation for certain things. I found myself bored and waiting for it to finish and it did not keep my interest at all but that could have been from the narrator that seemed to be inexperienced or not used to doing serious toned books.
