About this listen
A fake marriage, a hidden past, and an unexpected pregnancy. Life really loves its games, doesn't it?
The last thing I expected was to end up married to Jack, the irresistible billionaire. But when his dying grandma wished to see him settled, we ended up playing house. Pretend relationship, pretend feelings. Well, the feelings weren't all that pretend for me.
Things got complicated when an old flame, Dean, walked back into my life, and I found out he was a close friend of Jack’s. I thought I could keep my past relationship with Dean a secret, keep the past buried where it belonged.
Everything came crashing down when Jack discovered the truth. He misconstrued it all, believing I was just another gold digger, playing him while holding a torch for my ex. His hurt was evident; our divorce was swift.
Then came the unexpected twist - two pink lines on a pregnancy test.
But in the chaos of our separation, can I convince Jack that this baby is his, and that my love for him was never a lie? Can we navigate through this storm and build a family from the ruins of our broken hearts?
Are you ready to plunge into this whirlwind of searing passion, heart-wrenching revelations, and the promise of a love so profound, it'll leave you gasping for more?

I liked the story but wanted more from the narrati
I listened to the audio of this. Unexpected Baby for My Grumpy Billionaire Boss is written in dual POV, however the audio is single narration. I typically prefer dual when it's multiple POV's just because I think it flows better, and it gives you a better picture of that particular character. I also felt like the narrators voiced seemed robotic at times, the narration didn't work for me but I didn't hate the story. Initially I didn't get many grumpy vibes from Jack but I do think he jumped the gun when it came to assuming the worst of Dean and Kelly. Obviously they both needed to communicate better and trust one another. And I do love a good surprise pregnancy. In this case it brought them back together.
I would give this a rating of a 3 - just because narration didn't work for me. But, I did like the story (and honestly I hate giving lower ratings) so I'm going to go with a 4 star for this one.

Jack and Kelly
Jack I the grumpy boss. His grandmother is pressuring him to marry. Jack and Kelly decide to have a fake marriage, to ease his grandmother’s mind, as she is not expected to live much longer. The end up moving in together. Next thing you know, oops, a baby is on the way. Their path is bumpy, each needs to learn to trust, and accept they are in love. It was a short and sweet story. I expect due to the story length there was insufficient time to build a back story and smooth start. This story jumps right into it, but it worked well enough. The narration was good. Boss and Employee
Entering into a fake marriage, Jack and Kelly have been together for almost a year. The end is coming, yet neither Jack or Kelly really want it to end, but both are afraid to bring it up. When Kelly’s ex-boyfriend turns out to be Jack’s best friend, she keeps it from him, until it’s too late and he finds out. Will things ever go back to normal, or has Kelly messed up her relationship with her boss and the father of her unborn baby?
Lack of communication, and lack of trust could ruin the best thing these two people have!

I listened to the audiobook for this. The narrator did not work for me. The book is written with multiple POVs so I would have loved to hear at least dual POVs (MMC and FMC) reflected in the audiobook. I wanted to hear more of a harsh, deep voice for Jack.
Jack and Kelly have been in a fake marriage for a year. As the end of their agreement is near, both Jack and Kelly individually realize they don't really want things to end. Jack and Kelly are not good with words and don't communicate their feelings. Jack is a true grump, but he has let Kelly in. Their relationship has ups and downs including the appearance of an ex-boyfriend and a surprise baby. What started as a fake relationship turned into something real that both of them vowed to never let go of. Jack and Kelly decided to face the curveballs, embrace a life together, and embrace the new life they are bringing into the world.
The characters and plot were quite good. I enjoyed seeing the softer, more loving side of Jack. The situation with Dean threw me off and bit, but did not keep me from enjoying the story. This was an interesting audiobook that kept my attention the entire time. I listened to the entire book in one sitting.

Sweet Romance
This was my first Valerie Helen's book. I liked this cute, and heartwarming romance. Jack and Kelly are interesting characters. Jack is grumpy, and handsome. Kelly is smart, and beautiful. This is a sweet grumpy/sunshine fake relationship romance. Michelle Williams did a good job bringing this story to life. Cute story
This one was hard for me to get into because of the narration. With the single narrator for the both characters chapters, it was difficult to stay in the right headspace about who was talking at the time. Based on this, I was not able to fully connect to the story.
Narration aspect aside, the storyline was a solid read. I don't really get into the miscommunication trope but this one had enough solid emotional content to keep me interested.
I received an audiobook copy in exchange for my honest review.

liked
Kelly and Jack enter into a fake marriage, but their feeling are real. Only problem is neither one tell the other how they feel. Communication is what they should have done from the start. Their problems would have been avoided if they had. Kelly should have been forthcoming of her past with Dean and Jack should have not jumped to conclusions.
The audio book is done well and the narrator done an outstanding job with it.
