About this listen

Something went wrong. Something went very wrong….

Against his will, Thaden was transported elsewhere in a big flash of light along with millions of other Humans from Earth, to a place where they would train to become Contenders in a whole new world. Unfortunately for him, something occurred during his transference into the “Training” program, and he was ejected from the whole training process and sent into the open mouth of an active volcano for bodily disposal.

Through a miraculous and horrifying series of events, Thaden managed to survive, only to find himself alone in the middle of a dungeon with no clothes, no weapons, and no way to defend himself. Worst of all, the strange new Assimilation System automatically assigned a Class to him without his knowledge, which ended up sticking him with a Support-based Class that has absolutely no offensive capabilities. As an Assistant Healer, none of his spells did any damage and he couldn’t even pick up a weapon to defend himself if he wanted to!

But all hope isn’t lost, as Thaden quickly learns something unique about himself that might just allow him to survive long enough to escape the dungeon. Sure, all his new magical spells might be focused on healing and protection, but what does it mean when he seemingly won’t ever run out of Mana…?

This story contains an overpowered MC with a normally non-combat Class, LitRPG progression mechanics and stats, and isekai/portal fantasy elements. Contains no sexual content or harems.

Jonathan has done it agen

Jonathan is a great author and has written a lot of great books now and this is most certainly not an exception.
from start to end iv enjoyed this one good narration you can understand great story flow that makes it feel shorter than it is and good world building that iv come to expect
won't get into much story detail as I don't want to spoil it but expect the unexpected is the best way to think of it where the Mc is a heal base character with zero attack options what you think that is boring? then you need to read and find out how this hilarious out take will both be op and not

The interesting character, situation, and sequencing of events were great.

I really liked the flow of the story. The fact that the main character wasn't cocky in his power, that he remains humble and still willing to help folks out. He didn't want to be a healer class at the start but he truly embraced it. Cannot wait until part 2.

Honestly Amazing

You have to get used to the narrator but past that the story is actually amazing. The MC is over powered but it is in a weird way that makes his life a true struggle.

a wonderful story that makes you want more, but the person who reads this needs to be changed as they seem to drag it down.

Great Story Read by an AI (I think)

I really enjoyed the story, and I really wanted to give it a higher score. The storyteller sounded like a robot for a good bit of the book. I am pretty sure I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read it instead of listening to it. I finished it, and I going to listen to the next book. Hopefully, the narrator will be better.

A truly original concept inside Lit-RPG

I have often disliked the stat upgrade audio in lit RPG books because it turns into just another long list of numbers. J. Brooks manages to inform while keeping the story going. I wasn't going to buy the book. But after listening, I purchased the sequel!

a solid 4/5

I really like the over all theme of healers in an isekai and the hurdles they over come being a support an enjoyable subject. I'd like to see some more character development but the mechanics are interesting and engaging. I am looking forward to the other books.
