About this listen
The Mad Dogs are still adjusting to new promotions, pack mates, and pack hierarchy, but their adjustment period is cut short. As the war with the Organization still rages and rogue council members are determined to change the vision of the Council, the Mad Dogs find themselves fighting a war on two fronts. The Mad Dog Unit numbers have raised enough to break the team into two units, but it is enough? They can only hope so as the Mad Dogs decide who will comprise the Alpha and Bravo units.

Story
For the last six years, the Mad Dogs have been fighting a two-front war against the Organization and the rouge Councilmembers who disagree with the Mad Dogs methods. While the war rages on, Doc has steadfastly been creating a serum which would allow humans to be turned into Mad Dogs with just a shot. Not only speeding up the process of creating new Mad Dogs, but also reducing the possible trauma requiring new recruits to have sex with every Mad Dog to become part of the pack. The serum is ready; the next step is to recruit more men to join the Mad Dogs Units.

Story
I’m a SEAL. Or rather, I was. Retired at the grand old age of 38, I’m at loose ends. My best friend wants me to join his security team. I’m not sure I’m bodyguard material, but he needs someone to protect his kid brother. How hard can spoiled brat duty be? Somehow, I missed the part where former child star Danny Love went from dorky TV darling to all grown up and disturbingly attractive. All the gossip about his wild ways fails to mention that he’s trying hard to clean up his act.

Story
The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Story
Xander Corey lives simply, sustainably, on the outskirts of Osprey, a small, quaint town in Upstate New York. He’s a librarian when the town’s budget can afford him, a good friend, kind neighbor, and also, a witch. And while that’s of no concern to anyone around him, there are others, non-humans, who have a vested interest in Xander’s family land. Xander knows something dark and dangerous is brewing. He’s just not quite sure what.

Genetically altered into a super soldier who can shift into a wolf, Casey Black should have been the perfect asset - but that wasn't to be. The scientists who conducted DNA splicing experiments on him put a little too much wolf in his cocktail. Considered a danger to society and a risk to the survival of the secret project, the government tried to eliminate him. The former Immortal Operative has spent the majority of his life on the run and off the grid from the very government who'd helped him be 'all he could be'.

Sad to say
I loved the first books, especially 1-4. I’m really disappointed in this installment. There were WAY too many characters introduced. It was very hard keeping them straight (no pun intended). The political plot was very convoluted. This book as well book 7 is about 2 hours shorter than the rest. It had to be longer. The 5 hours is nothing but fighting and politics and an attempt at character development for 4 maybe 5 new characters, I’m not even sure. With introducing so many characters and trying to increase the political intrigue, 5 hours was not possible. The 2 hours cut held the romance because this book has none. Disappointed I bought this one. Lastly, they switched narrators again. The first was BY FAR the best. He actually gave each character (maybe 10 or so) their own voice and style - and each was pleasing to the ear, which is truly incredible. He made these audiobooks successful. You can’t translate a story like this to audio without an excellent narrator. I’m really not sure if I’ll buy another if he isn’t on it. There are just too many characters for most narrators to handle.
