Seventeen-year-old Zelda Bailey-Cho has her future all planned out: improv camp, then Second City, and finally Saturday Night Live. She’s thrilled when she lands a spot on the coveted varsity team at a prestigious improv camp, which means she’ll get to perform for professional scouts - including her hero, Nina Knightley. But even though she’s hardworking and talented, Zelda’s also the only girl on Varsity, so she’s a target for humiliation from her teammates. And her 20-year-old coach Ben is cruel to her at practice and way too nice to her when they’re alone.... Zelda wants to fight back, but is sacrificing her best shot at her dream too heavy a price to pay?

This was so hard to get through at times because it was SO. GOOD. I felt like I really knew Zelda and worried about how things would turn out for her! In the end the confrontation with Ben and it's resolution was realistic. People in power being stuck up their own asses worried about perception instead of actual people? Check. Woman being punished for something entirely outside of her control? Check. But also meeting a hero and they turn out to be awesome? Heck yes!

I found myself getting angry, not at the way the book was written but how Nicole did such a great job of capturing true emotion and made you feel for Zelda and how she was being treated. It was relatable. Everyone should read!
