Publisher's summary

Whore. Slut. Typhoid Mary. I've been called all these at Central College. One drunken night, one act of irresponsible behavior, and my reputation was ruined. Guys labeled me as easy, and girls shied away. To cope, I stayed away from Central social life and away from Central men, so why is it that my new biology lab partner is so irresistible to me? He's everything I shouldn't want. A former marine involved in illegal fighting with a quick-trigger temper and an easy smile for all the women. His fists aren't the danger to me, though; it's his charm. He's sliding his way into my heart, and I'm afraid that he's going to be the one to break me.

Impulsive. Unthinking. Hot tempered. I allow instinct to rule my behavior. "If it feels good, do it" has been my motto, because if I spend too much time thinking, I'll begin to remember exactly where I came from. At Central College I've got fighting, and I've got women, and I thought I was satisfied until I met her. She's everything I didn't realize I wanted, and the more time I spend with her, the more I want her. But she's been hurt too much in the past, and I don't want to be the one to break her. I know I should walk away, but I just can't.

Critic reviews

"I love these strong characters. There are no weak wimpy girls or stupid cruel idiot guys. There are strong damaged characters that heal themselves and the people who love them." (Sizzling Pages)
"A sexy and sinful new adult read you don't want to miss!" (NY Times best-selling author Katy Evans)

Must listen!

Jen Frederick writes the best romance stories filled with humour, romance, angst, great characters and enough emotion I've been guilty of hastily wiping away tears before I let an angry cry begin.

My ultimate recommendation to any of my fellow readers is Unspoken, with AM and Bo.

Include the amazing narrators to add dimension to this tale?

There aren't enough stars I can give.

Read this. Listen to this. You'll thank me later.

Unspoken

Where does Unspoken rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best. a combination of a great story that is beautifully narrated.

What other book might you compare Unspoken to and why?

Other books by Jen Frederick in The Woodlands series: Undeclared, Unraveled, Undressed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I loved both Bo and AM. I read the eBook and the audiobook only added to my enjoyment of the story.

I loved listening to the banter between them, the secrets they shared both funny and heartbreaking.

I admire the fact Jen writes NA books that have strong heroines and heroes with a strong moral compass.

Bo didn't care about AM's prior sexual experience and was supportive of her from the start.

AM didn't know if she should trust her feeling to Bo, but learned he is one of the rare few who will stand by her side and let himself be vulnerable with her.

Any additional comments?

Another great addition to the series. Highly recommended.

4.5 Stars for this fun and heartfelt romance!

I loved this second book in the Woodlands series! It was funny, heartfelt and engaging. Bo and Ann Marie both have history that they are not proud of. They meet in a college class and become lab partners. They are broken and flawed but feel safe with each other. They are also complete opposites that make each other stronger. I love Bo and AM so much. They were well developed, authentic and genuine. Their banter was hilarious along with some of the situations they found themselves in. Unfortunately other circumstances were heartbreaking but were addressed sensitively and candidly. I found the flow and progression of their relationship was well paced and believable. I also really enjoyed Stella Bloom, and Andrew Eiden's narration. They were really wonderful at setting the mood and allowing us to experience the fun and emotional angst of college life. The extended epilogue was also a huge favorite. I love this series and am excited to listen to the rest of the books!

Bo is here!!!

Loved the narrators and the way they captured the humor in parts of the book. All in all great book and even better as an audiobook.
