About this listen
When 20-year-old police recruit Kiera Hudson is posted to the remote town of The Ragged Cove, her life is changed forever. Investigating a series of horrific murders, grave desecrations, and missing persons, with her unique ability of "seeing," Kiera soon realizes her life is in danger.
But when Kiera falls in love with police officer Luke Bishop, not only is her mind and her heart opened to a terrifying new world, she comes to suspect that Luke might be involved in the killings. In a race against time to unearth the truth, Kiera must discover the identity of who or what is behind the gruesome deaths on the "Vampire Shift".

narrator doesn't match the story
the story is quite good and I hate to see the narration take away from the story. The plot is great I love the twists and turns. But her whispery voice does not give enough differentiation to the characters. Who all seem very laid back because of her narration. this book would be a great read 4 star.

Nice voice
British narrators for some reason can't hold my attention, no matter how much I'm enjoying the book. This one did. Her voice was nice.
I was thinking after the second time she fainted that she's a dainty little thing, but she's a cop. I've never read about vampire-bats, but it was interesting. I definitely want to read the rest of the series.

Entertaining, but not a favorite.
If not for the frequent PLEEASE... entreaties and some singular stupidity attributed to the lead character, I would have given the story higher marks. Narrator fabulous.

LLLong start up. the ending was cool
What did you like best about Vampire Shift? What did you like least?
story line was good. but took to long time to get there. more than 3/4 of book is dragged out bla-bla. then we get to the good part and it is over. the end. the narrator dragged it out. I went for the kindle.
Would you recommend Vampire Shift to your friends? Why or why not?
no. they would put it down before the half way mark.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
the reading pace of her voice was so slow. like she was reading is cold.
Was Vampire Shift worth the listening time?
no, wish it was. the story line is good.
Any additional comments?
if I was given the 2nd book I would try it.

It was pretty good.. wouldn't call it a romance though. Had a good story plot line and followed it well. I have a feeling the romance comes in play in the following series books ;)

Couldn't stop listening
I fell in love with the different take on Vampires in this book. Each author has a way of making the paranormal interesting, but adding the difference of another race that can cause the ailment was terrific.
Kieran Hudson has some really great abilities that are going to come into play later in the series.
I can't wait to listen to the rest.
