About this listen

Gracie Cain is a healer. I'm Noah Jarvis, a cold-hearted killer.

We had one night. The best night. Then she thought she could strut out my front door and my life, right after announcing she was my best friend's baby sister.

"Give me a memory, Noah."

That's what she said...right after she rendered me stupid in the shadows at a wedding reception. I did everything I could to figure her out. She wore more veils of armor than I've seen in a lifetime. On the outside, she was strong and self-assured. But within those beautiful, guarded blues? She was laced with vulnerability and grief. She got the memory she wanted, but in the process, I was left branded.

When she ran, I had no choice but to follow. Not only did I go after her, I chased her halfway around the world. Because when it comes to her, one memory isn't enough. It doesn't matter that there couldn't be a more opposite pair than us.

But when my job came back to bite me in the ass, I wasn't the only one caught in the crossfire. It bought us memories no one was counting on. That's when all the veils were ripped off.

Shut The Front Door!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

Now, this was a great storyline! I am in awe. I have enjoyed this series from book one. I am definitely looking forward to the last two. Narrators deserve huge applause for bringing these characters to life.

I was in shock but surprised at Alexanders' love child but I was floored to learn that Jarvis’ mom was the one to put the wedge between them!

I have enjoyed reading and listening to this whole Killer series. I've listened to some multiple times. It has wit, love, danger and lots of hot scenes. I totally recommend this author and this series!

The road to healing can be long but worth it

This is the fourth book I have listened to in the Killer series and did enjoy it. First the narrators did great work and certainly are among my favorites! They bring life to the characters and emotion to their narration.

The characters are well developed and like the fact that characters from previous books also are included.
As much as I like the sexual scenes in books, I think that too many gets old at least for me. I found myself tuning out some of them. This is just me so others will disagree and that’s ok!

Ms Asher has a gift for bringing alive her characters, the emotions and the scenery. Trauma affects people differently, and this is found in this story. I like that the author shows how the trauma affects not just one person but an entire family. Gracie suffered a terrible time in her childhood and consequently her brother and sisters smothered her trying to keep her in a safe bubble.

What really bothers me in this story is a man planning out the life of the person he loves without really speaking with her and she goes along with it. Although he says he understands that she needs to have a say in her life his actions don’t speak it. It just bugged me!

If the use of the f word and other what some consider foul language, sex scenes and violence bother you, don’t listen to this story. On to the next book in the series!!

Noah was a surprise!

I have to say Noah Jarvis really surprised me. I can't believe he fell as hard as he did for Gracie, but I'm so glad he did. Gracie has had a hard life and even though she fought it tooth and nail, Noah was exactly what she needed. It wasn't easy, but I'd say it was totally worth all they went through to get to their HEA.

I didn’t think. . .

these stories could get any better. But they are! Noah and Gracie’s story is absolutely my favorite, well my fourth favorite anyway. And Kit Swann and Jason Clarke were brilliant again!! Enjoy! On to the next episode!
