With the help of his sidekick, a humanoid dinosaur named Dinoczar, and his Minion, a snide purse thief called Joe, Robert must navigate the dangerous world of the Dome and free its supervillain prisoners to solve his grandfather's riddle.

But Old Sparky won't make it easy for them, and Robert quickly discovers that he'll need to level up his skills if he wants to survive.

So much fun

Robert does the one thing he said he would never do, the one thing that took his brother from him, he enters the world of the VR game Capes Online. He only does it to solve is dead grandpa’s riddles and earn him a bunch of money that would help with his mom’s doctor bills and his brothers nursing home bills. But once he enters he soon finds himself in a maximum-security level of the games prison, The Dome, run by warden Old Sparky. It is easy to figure out the riddle is for him to stage a prison break but how when he is a level 1 and he only has his two cell mates, Dinoczar his sidekick, and purse thief Joe his minion, to help.
This was a fun listen by Austin Rising, his performance was wonderful. I loved it and felt as though I was there like a fly on the wall. The amount of thought that went into this book was awesome to get everything right, I can not wait for more.

Prison Break!

Interesting story. Discusses topics such as digital immortality and morality in video games. The first segment of the story is complete and leads into the next part.

Edit: The narration is great! Loved DinoTzar!

Surprisingly I enjoyed the book!

I was actually afraid that I wouldn't enjoy this book. Surprisingly I did. Just not enough to draw me into the story ARC. I liked Robert, the MC. I could even emphasize with him. He's dealing with his mother's mounting hospital bills, and his older brother's care... and now he's facing 3 challenges his grandfather has given him to solve, inside one of the biggest mmorpg's. The problem is, I kinda hate Super Villains... And the intriguing part of the storyline is that Robert does too. But in order to win the challenge and win the much-needed inherentance his family so desperately needs. There’s one thing holding it though his grandfather added a stipulation and to succeed he has to step outside the box and be the Super Villain he doesn't want to be...
What a terrible challenge. And I feel for him, just not enough to obsess over the next book.

a great LitRPG where the hero is a villian

EXCELLENT narration. wonderful voice range.
interesting story where a "normal " good guy is forced to become a villon in game. forced to solve 3 riddles to get money he greatly needs.
book 1 of a new series you can't help but love.
get to know the best sidekick Dinoczar, a Russian T-Rex.

Decent plot with twists, narrator has very hard “s” sound which was distracting

Plot was decent, fun explanation near the end. Seems like it is set up for the next book, but not many plot points that carry over.

Not very good

Main character is dumb despite everyone saying how smart he is. The wtiting is amateurish. Main character constantly states and restates the very very obvious.
