James Herriot meets Peter Hathaway Capstick

First off: "This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."

As a huge fan of both James Herriot and Peter Hathaway Capstick, this book was right up my alley. The stories included both problem animals and problem hunters, and featured a lot of intrigue and drama as the Fish and Game officers involved tried to get things under control. Though I've never been a hunter myself, I've always been interested in stories of the outdoors. Combined with an interest in true crime, this book was a perfect combination.

The narrator of the audiobook did a good job of conveying the right amount of drama and tension without overdoing it. The sound effects I found to be superfluous and unnecessary, but neither were they especially bothersome.

Overall, I was very impressed with this book and I plan on checking out more from the series.

More Exciting Adventures Capturing Poachers

This is the second book in the exciting Warden Force series. Even better than the first, this edition finds the wardens battling snake collectors, bear and fish poachers and more. The undercover operations are fascinating and thrilling and it is a shame that the fines are not larger, not is the mail time long for the damage being done to rate species. I read this book using immersion reading while listening to the audiobook. Highly recommended and enjoyable.

Good Stories but Feels Repetative

The stories in Warden Force all have to do with true stories that involve game wardens. I found the stories fascinating. However, after a while I did start to find them a little more repetitive. I would recommend listening to this in small chunks. It would help break up the repetitiveness. I do like the added notes after each story of updates on each of the stories.

Patrick J. Hinchliffe had a very easy voice to listen to and I feel was well paired with the stories.

I did receive a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.
