Publisher's summary

A wormhole opens a passage to Earth.

The Antarians sent a warlord scout to investigate the newly discovered life forms.

Their Antarian lust for blood must be quenched. The ancient Antarian scrolls speak of legends regarding a female warrior from an unknown house.

The life blood from the Beast of the Valley of Trenches can bring fortitude to the new Empress of Antares.

Follow along on this magical quest in search for the ancient texts and discover the mysteries of the Kron’Shulooka, or Blood Spirit. Their hope is that the ancient writings will hold the clues of what must be done.

Prepare yourselves, the Warlords are coming....

Disappointing

Sounds like a story for kids. Not written very well. not worth the credits I spent on it unfortunately.

Drek

The writing is stilted and poor. I can only imagine the author is trying to capture the feel of a Heinlein novel. But, the problem is that Heinlein wrote the way he did because people of his time simply spoke that way.

This reads like a highschool student reading a script in a play.

The narrator does his best with what he has to work with but ends up making it worse. Not sure if most of the blame here should go to him or the author but either way I gave him three stars for at least giving it a good try. I actually feel bad for the guy.

It tries to be a nostalgicly written story, it ends up being slow and clunky. The story itself is poor as well, again it's something a highschool kid would write and probably do a better job of.

Try if you dare but this is the first Audible book in almost a decade that I not only quit, but will ask for a refund on.

like a corny 80s cartoon

this book is HORRIBLE!!! poorly written and the narration only makes it worse. If it wasn't for the occasional curse word, I would think it was for a 4 year old. I can't begin to explain how bad this book is. All I can say is that I have read or listened to thousands of books and I have never once left a review. That is how bad this book is.
